Losing hair sucks. This forum is a great way to help and support each other not cut people down by calling them "pathetic" Not cool. We all have our insecurities. Losing your hair sucks. This forum is a good way to see what works, what doesn't for each of us and try to figure out the best ways to maintain what we have and even grow back.

Well said! A lot of people on here need to learn and practice "resilience" .

OP things are not always as simple as get on with it, and calling people pathetic is pretty harsh. I took hair loss ridiculously hard, although I had also had underlying issues which made things way worse (as do many others). Basically I was ill and I didn't even realise it (I posted about this yesterday so won't go into it now) - in short, you'd consider me 'pathetic'. Regardless, please don't bash the forum as it provides anonymous support, encouragement and help to countless people, and I bet this place and others like it have saved lives in extreme cases. You never know what is going on in people's minds and I think calling people 'pathetic' and deriding their support mechanisms is pretty nasty and irresponsible. However, I am happy that hair loss isn't a massive concern or issue for you.

Ran across this guy on youtube, and had to post it somewhere. He's a Norwood 2 going on 3. The guy is resilient to say the least.

He's got hair. She never would have married him if he were bald, even if he had arms or legs. She said what attracted her was his looks. You can't have good looks if you don't have hair. I bet anyone that once his hair loss gets worse, she will be gone.

I bet you don't even have the money to bet, and I also bet you've never been with a girl before

yea not to mention i find stories like that to be unrealistic

those are probably the 0.1% whose life ISN'T a mess after an accident like that

i mean come on . . . . . those guys whose brains are half blow away and lose their penis and their eyeballs, but still manage to win the olympics and beat garry kasparov in chess? yea they always had insane amounts of willpower and strength, amounts that NO ONE else has

those stories are NEVER motivating to me. i only find that they make me feel inferior

Very likely. Having some hair loss is one thing but being completely bald is an entirely different category.

I bet anyone that once his hair loss gets worse, she will be gone.

i must disagree on this one. by the time he's truly bald she might develop a strong bond with him that could overcome his baldness. but not being completely bald could proove to be very crucial when it comes to meeting the person for the very first time and letting her get to know you.

I would hate to say this but realistically there are those people both men and women who get a slight rush from the feeling of dependency they receive from their disabled other.

I agree. The story seems a little too perfect and just made for tv/seminars. I would like to be wrong, however.

There are guys who made it and still care about hair loss, tons of examples in past history from athletes to celebrities, I bet even Prince Williams cares about hair loss, you can tell by the twinkle in his eyes.
