Lets see the study writeup then because I dont want to take your word. The study I read about 6 months ago on CNN that said finistride had an increased risk of the deadly form of prostate cancer was in correspondance with the general population, not a controlled placebo study.

These men were also taking a whole Proscar tablet, 5mgs, as opposed to the male pattern baldness dosage, 1mg, correct?

So that should mean we don't have as much to worry about. Hopefully.

maybe i'm wrong, but didn't all these men have benign prostatic hypertrophy to begin with, which made them much more likely to get the more rare aggressive cancer. people like us, with normal prostates should be fine, if not, better off since our prostates won't even have a chance to hypertrophy.

You have no reason to worry about getting prostate cancer from propecia. Unless, your over the age of say 45 there is no fear of getting this cancer. Most of us on this board are between the ages of 19-30. No worries about getting prostate cancer.
