HelloBrightonBaldy said:for the first time ever ive decided to just do something without having somebody else try it out first.
for hayfever it says to take 10mg or 1 tablet per day orally, ive no need for that, im trying to stop my hair falling out, nevermind sneezing.
so ive decided that using 30mg per day topically really should be enough, if it doesnt work then so be it, ill just be a few puny hairs and a little bit lighter in the wallet. this drug was not designed to be used in this way, i dont live in fear.
so for a month id need about 90 tablets, instead i just bought 6 packets, so ive now got 84 tablets (840mg) of cetirizine. 840mg over 30 days is 28mg per day average.
ive mixed all of them in with an entire bottle of alpecin liquid, usually lasts a month per bottle when used once daily. ive got 3 bottles of this stuff here anyway, its a fairly useless product in my opinion but its one of the best topical vehicles ive ever used. costs are reasonable aswell, money in itself isnt a huge issue but ive no idea what will happen in the future. the cheaper the regime i can muster then the more likely itll be futureproof.. last thing id ever want to be doing is getting locked into a 50-100 quid a month regime that i might be forced to quit one day.
to mix them i sterilized my blender, dried it totally, poured in the entire contents of an alepcin bottle and then the 84 pills. i blasted it for a good few minutes until it was totally saturated. i was left with a milky white liquid that ive then poured into an empty bottle to last me the month.
anyway, i tried it once on my scalp and as expected the entire dose was absorbed within about 10 minutes, my scalp is now bone dry. there was an almost instant tingling sensation as i applied the topical on my male pattern baldness areas, so good or bad its doing something.
hopefully me and the spanairds can grow some f*cking hair
We cant use cox2 blockers, because we will also reduce the pgE2 and pgF2... and we dont want that.

Our target is PGD2 ONLY. Eliminate that and nothing else and you will cure baldnessunk:

seriously, I am now 100% sure that eliminating all of that PGD2 will stop hair loss..... The problem now is finding that perfect drug that can do just that :innocent:

who knows, itll do until we get a proper PGD2 blocker, apparently it does do that and raises pge2 production but there must be something more efficient.
EXAMPLE 12: PGD2S INHIBITION AMELIORATES SEBACEOUS GLAND
HYPERTROPHY
[ 00527 ] Mice with sebaceous gland hypertrophy are treated with inhibitors of PGD2, and extent of hypertrophy is determined. Sebaceous gland hypertrophy is ameliorated in skin treated with PGD2 inhibitors, but not in untreated areas of the same mice or untreated mice, confirming the role of PGD2 in sebaceous gland hyperplasia, acne, and rosacea.
In addition to the above genes, levels of the lipocalin (brain) isoform prostaglandin D2 synthase (PGD2S) were elevated in bald scalp relative to haired scalp (Figure 7A). To confirm this finding, PGD2 levels were tested in bald and haired tissue from 3 patients. PGD2 was elevated in all bald samples, 15 at an average fold increase of 11.6 (Figure 7B). This increase in PGD2 was verified in 1 individual by mass spectrometry. PGD2 was detected as 17 pg/mg of tissue in haired scalp and 75.5 pg/mg in bald scalp, representing a 4.4 fold increase in bald tissue. PGF2a also was slightly elevated in bald scalp with 6.7 pg/mg in haired scalp and 15.9 pg/mg in bald scalp. PGE2, however, exhibited the reverse trend with PGE2 present at 22.7 pg/mg in the haired scalp and 12.0 pg/mg in the bald scalp (Figure 7C).

back in 1999 Merck created a drug called Vioxx which was supposed to inhibit COX-2....
this is what happened:
Merck Paid 3,468 Death Claims to Resolve Vioxx Suits

let's not touch COX-2 at all :innocent:
