Hey you're just like me I'm such a over thinker I will take it I love my hair too much to lose it I can't stop thinking about my hair every day and night it's driving me crazy I hope I respond well to finasteride
photos of my hair at the momentYes you're like me in that regard. It's a bit of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. But I love my hair too much to let it go as well.
However, I still believe that the risk of side effects is small as was stated in the studies, and maybe along with a healthy diet/good exercise routine/overall lowering of stress levels, the percentage is even smaller.
If you have some pictures of your hair though, maybe that would help assess the situation. If your loss is very slow, you may not need to do anything, and your hairline recession could stop if you don't have thinning elsewhere.
I had aggressive diffuse thinning at a young age (23-24) in a norwood 5/6 pattern. I started using it 10 months ago and no sides yet. So for me I had to do something, or else it would all go, and quickly.
Your hair is looking pretty good man.
Yes you have some recession on the edges of your hairline, but i don't necessarily see thinning behind it, so I wouldn't categorize your loss as aggressive. In fact that could just be your mature hairline that many guys get and it doesn't move from there, at least not until way way later in life.
If I had your hair, I would do nothing. Every month or so throw it a quick glance just in case, but no need to obsess over it at ok I will not take finasteride yet and see how it goes just added two more photos of my hairline looking not it's best
Hey I completely understand how you feel it's like a skinny person saying they are fat but are notI've had enough of paranoid fulheads. f*** off, all of you,
Ok thx I will tryYes it is a bit rounded but I think you're ok for now. Just check on it every month or so, but otherwise live your life normally.
Ok thx dude I'm thinking about what to do its such a hard decision wether to take finasteride or notAfter looking at these pics I don't know if I'd actually take it at this point, especially given that you're already 29. I honestly think you have no crown loss at all but are at a NW2 hairline. If you really care about your hair then this is your best bet at keeping it. If you aren't afraid of the sides I'd start now but if they're freaking you out I'd wait a while. For now you could honestly just see how it progresses and if you notice it get worse over the next year then could jump on finasteride.
EDIT: your hairline has miniaturization on it going a bit back even at the forelock area. Losing your forelock is brutal. If I were you I'd actually start it now if you don't wanna lose more hair.
My concern isn't your temples. Those hairs that aren't as long sticking out on your forelock area (center hairline) are probs going to shed eventually. That's what happened to me and was brutal. Right now they're adding density and making the forelock look fuller but if they fall out it was start looking thin. You clearly have male pattern loss although minor at this point. Would be smart to start now.Ok thx dude I'm thinking about what to do its such a hard decision wether to take finasteride or not
Ok your right I will I'm really worried about that happening and I will regret not talking finasteride soonerMy concern isn't your temples. Thx @whatintheworld for the support it means a lot I probably will take finasteride my hair is very important to me and I'm over having a itchy scalp
I'm glad I talked to people online it makes me understand finasteride alot more it's not as bad as people make our it is I'm starting to realize hairloss is worse then the side-effects of finasterideMake your own decision. Don't base off of people on the internet. Do your own research. Weigh the risks. And then decide. I have decided against but that is my personal choice.
Hey how old are you I'm 28Just a word from someone who does not regret not taking finasteride. I made that decision years ago and I think being naturally healthy is best. If you are already concerned then do not use finasteride and have the benefits of keeping your DHT, keep your free testosterone high (yes finasteride does decrease this contrary to popular forum opinion) and keep your estrogen low.
I think Finasteride is ok when a man is older and wants to stop prostate growth. Then he no longer quite needs the male hormone levels he once had.
