Yeah, they their system compromised or something and some peoples credit card numbers were stolen and used.

I was one of them. Out of all the years and money I spent with Dr Lee that was the one time I got pissed at him. Not that my stuff got stolen...but I would have appreciated a gesture of apology on his part. I dunno...something as minor as free shipping on an order. I mean cmon....$5...

Yes cmon $5 ??? Really ? Funny how we all have different reactions to things. My card info. got compromised as well. I was not thrilled about it but it was easy enough to cancel and get a new number. Was I supposed to think Dr Lee did it and moved to Singapore?? These things seem to happen at the biggest and most secure institutions these days such as Citibank recently.

I still appreciated that Dr Lee provided me with years of good products and excellent service. Is it ok for me to say that????? If not I apologize in advance.

I must be going paranoid, I smell the mongering of fear.

Regarding the mystery of who brought down Dr. Lee, please allow me to speculate here...

A seasoned Homicide Investigator asks many questions but at the top of his list is Who Profits ??????? Who benefits from the alleged crime?? In a very high percentage of cases if you answer this you likely solve the case. Following me here??

So who profits most from Dr Lees retirement ??? Well certainly at least a few of his competitors and other sellers of various hair "oriented" scam and spams in this industry. I think a seasoned Investigator would focus his attention there.

So is there a particular competitive interest who would profit from his demise??

Well it would seem that yes, there are a few. I suspect an answer to this mystery is to be found there.

I really think you're missing the entire point of my comment. In very big way. I don't really want to rehash the entire event again in detail but lets face the facts here...

Dr Lee had a very outdated website

Someone was capturing his customers information because of his security loopholes

It took forums a few weeks to put it all together what was happening and to alert Dr Lee

We all had massive hassles dealing with this. Yeah dealing with canceling the card was easy but some of us, me included...had some serious fraud issues to deal with. You can't reasonably just focus on canceling the card...that's very short sited...I had to deal with several websites that my card was used on, I had a fraud event on my credit report, I had my card declined at several places due to fraud on my bank account. And I was far from alone on that.

Not one person thought he was involved as common sense dictates his business was hurt too. His screw up was not informing people fast enough and having poor security BOTH OF WHICH which were his responsibility as a business owner doing e-commerce. So if you want to excuse Dr Lee by comparing this to big companies maybe you should look into how big companies handle these things on the back end. Look at what SPN did when people hacked into the sony playstation network. Fast notification.

So a small token gesture of free shipping for everyone's immense hassle would have been nice. For this particular issue I felt like Dr Lee didn't take what happened seriously. The charges on my account did not add up but over time they could have had I not caught this.. why didn't Dr Lee? Identity theft is nightmare and to me this issue was shrugged at by him.

Obviously I really like Dr Lee and I found his one on one customer service amazing but the more I thought about this issue as time went on the more upset I was at it and rightfully so.

So yeah....that $5.................

Mr. Nature Boy here. All I'm saying..and other's have since wondered about this as well...is why isn't there any information out there about this FDA recall except from Dr. Lee- those emails? As Cassin said..it's possible there's a delay in getting that info online..although it seems things usually are put out right away when they happen. Or maybe it is out there somewhere and since the FDA can be so incompetent the information isn't easily seen by those who should see it. I can about imagine some folks would not get the email from Dr. Lee on the "recall" due to emails bouncing or _________....or you'd have to cover all those who got the product via a friend or _________ and they never passed the info on...etc. I think the recall is a Joke btw..true or not. There are so many products out there with similar ingreds..it makes no sense to just target Dr. Lee.

As I said earlier...I'm just having fun P.I.'n here. Things don't add up. I'm not the only wondering what the heck is going on here.

You are correct, I did miss the point entirely. I'm really sorry you were forced to go through that level of trouble. I did not understand the totality of your problems with identity issues. I got lucky. Had I had to go through all that hassle I would have expected more than A five spot for sure.

Ok I can at least see where your coming from here I think... I wondered about that but did not think you were implying that because it certainly seems to make no "logical' sense.

However it is a possibility worth considering. The circumstances are beyond strange. You could be on to something though it would be a very weird and akward way..seemingly for Lee to go about this. At least from our vantage point.

You are correct there are some very unusual circumstances here.So I give you that.

But like you I am so disgusted with the FD@ defending the guilty and crushing the innocent. Combine that with the loss of my favorite products and trusted source and I get quite passionate when some one seems to be calling for more of their "were from the government and were hear to help you"" nonsense.

We do not need any attention from them.. none, natta zilch. Who will be protecting us from them? Perhaps the new food safety Czar appointed by the messiah?? Oh yeah I forgot he is the former Monsant@ chief lawyer. Now ther is a man with only the public interests at heart...

No problemo..and no, I have not contacted the FDA about it..even though there's a very slight possiblity that Dr. Lee was just doing all this to actually drum up more business(imagine everybody reading these forums about ppl po'd that they no longer can get Xandrox etc). My guess is even if he/they did issue fake FDA recalls nothing would happen anyway..they could just claim they received them and thought they were actually from the FDA or some goofy thing. And yes..this conspiracy is also goofy. And yet makes about as much sense as Dr. Lee giving the website of the new place and not telling ppl to stay away from it. That his formulas were "stolen". Etc etc.

Nor have I contacted them about Proctor..believe it or not. Don't even get me started on that one :woot:

yeah....nobody wants to put anyone out of business unless they are literally doing something wrong by hurting people. This isn't about alerting or telling on someone by contacting the FDA.

This discussion and curiosity is simply what these sites are about.

There is nothing wrong with a business or individual making as much money as possible. But the fact is, with the way his products went crashing down and popping back up invited a lot of curiosity and discussion.

I ordered xandrox 15 Plus Saturday night, No confirmation email yet, so we will see if I get one on Monday, meaning someone is processing orders manually.

I will let everyone know how the order goes and what product is like.
I figured, I payed with my AMEX thru paypal, I can disputed and get money back at any time. Plus with AMEX, they have a program that if you buy something your not satisfied with, and cant return or whatever, they credit your account and go after merchant, up to a year after purchase.

I don't think it's actually his site. Though it seems he might be in cahoots with these people or he sold his formulas to them.
