@zircon is being a bit of a white knight.
And
@hairblues 's argumentation has improved a lot in the past months, that's for sure.
But placing her experiences on a pedestal like zircon does is a bit naive and shortsighted.
Hairblues is biased at many levels, especially when it comes on the dating scene.
And no I don't believe that the views advanced by some posters here are misogynistic even though some are taking it too far.
And finally, and that one is a bit of a trigger for me: saying entertainment (movies) as a whole to infer truths about human behavior is again wrong in my humble opinion.
That argument reminds me of social justice warriors who will scream that the movie Captain Phillips is a racist story and that the Belgian movie "A en perdre la raison" is misogynistic because its shows a woman murdering her 5 children in cold blood.
Too bad for them, these movies are based on true stories. And you don't necessarily need a story to be based in reality for it to have powerful and accurate insights about human behavior.
And let's not even talk about the mocking of evolutionary psychology, "yeah science is misogynistic dude!" Nothing that the lead researchers in evolutionary psychology is that controversial anyway. Too bad their findings often gets badly interpreted by the manosphere types:
"Women go for high-status men (they edit out 'for long-term relationships' part here), that means that if I fake being high-status, I can trick her into having a one night stand!"
Tinder screenshots are useful, but they don't tell the whole story. Like I said recently, out of 80 matches, these super hot guys should be able to f*** 6 women in the end.
