Plain and simple - what results have you seen since being on one or more of the major treatments? I am trying to determine the efficacy of the existing treatments which I personally feel are ineffective. Also please try to state what treatments worked or failed for you.

Thanks!

Significant improvement in temple, top, vertex, and crown using finasteride, minoxidil, and nizoral shampoo. At the same time, I began taking a multi-vitamin, vitamin C, and fish oil; I don't know if they helped, but they're healthy things to take anyway.

I have been on treatments (big 3) for 4 years, I had a significant increase the first 2 years then they leveled off with a slight decrease in the hairline later. I also voted.

(Added) I am 37 and NW2 diffuse on left side.

Significant improvement back portion using KSR (big 3 plus), 8 months in. Front... not so much.

Maybe we should list a age or decade... forties for me.

I am currently using propecia(been on it for almost a year and half) and Nizoral 2%. I would say without a doubt that my results are significantly less than baseline. Propecia has destroyed my hairline.

No visible improvement. Maybe even worst then before the treatment.

Finasteride 1.5mg - 7 months
Minoxidil 5% 1xday - 6 months
Revivogen - 2 months

In the coming end of my second month of finasteride I would say I am below baseline but at the same time I am below baseline in the areas most affected by male pattern baldness.

I am 21, been thinning for four years, I am almost a NW2 on the temples, and have diffuse on my left side like propecia junkie.

Treatment: 2 months of minoxidil and Revita shampoo, also low dose of finasteride for one month.

I'm not sure at the moment, but I have the feeling minoxidil has started paying off. Some of the miniature hairs on my hairline look longer and stronger. I take that as a positive sign. I had a bit of a shed initially, but not at panic proportions.

Also, in the last 10 days my hair started feeling thicker overall. I'm not sure what's causing this. Revita shampoo made my hair feel thin and fluffy, but healthier. The thickness could be the effect of finasteride or revita shampoo.

Before I got on propecia my hairline was in good shape. The main reason I got on propecia was to maintain what I had. Now after almost a year and a half of being on the drug I am receding very bad. I would give anything to go back to the hairline I had before I got on propecia. Maybe it is just a coincident that my hairloss got really agressive at the same time I started propecia, but I likely doubt it.

Viper, it would be nice to see this same survey except ask how people did from 2 years on treatments to 5 years. Since most treatment success tends to level off after 2 years, it would be great to see how people stack up after 2 years. But as you can see so far, almost half the people have improvement( whether it be a little or alot). I am sure you are surprised see these results since in your case you were not one of those 50 %. That's ok, I voted too and I was not in that 50% either. I am going on my 3rd year and I must say the last 2-3 months are my worst yet for the front. My crown is fine still. So basically, its how you want to look at the success. From a crown point of view I am a success because that is where the treatments have been proven to work. From a frontal standpoint, I have gotten worse but then these treatments never were geared to save your frontal hairs.
