New in town..

Hi! My name is Patrik and i´m 27 years old living in Sweden (need my hair because it´s cooold..huh :) I have quite alot of hair but the the hairline is moving north (temple area). I have only tried Minoxidil before but gave it up waaayy to fast. And as far as i have "heard" in here it´s MUCH better to combine it with other products.

Further down i have listed the products that´s written about on this website.

People in here seem to get good results when using Propecia, Minoxidil and Nizoral in a combination. Some have said that they get moody and even depressed from Propecia. Who would not rather be happy, horny and bald when 50 but a sad hairy virgin (almost at least..) Raise your hand! :)

Do you think the topical DHT inhibitors are as effective as Propecia? Worth a shot?
Will the topicals go into the bloodstream?

Thanks for your help!

The same thing has happened to me and I am really worried about it.
I used Propecia for 16months (half a tablet every other day) and it more or less stopped my hairloss and i had no major problems.
However, I stopped it completely for two weeks and went back on it,since then I have got a severe loss of libido/feeling and it has been two months since I stopped taking it.
Is it permament?

It stopped your hair loss on .5 every other day for 16 months? Wow.

It slowed it down to the point of not noticing. However, as I said, are side-effects reversible? that's what I'm worried about.......

Yes they go away altogether eventually.Well I have never read anything from anyone saying that they did not go away and in all the studies they all went away. So be glad you are free from finasteride.

Is all your side effects long term, or in the early stages of Propecia dosage?

Most all my early side effects went away.I did not think I was bloated(like Richlocks talks about) until I used DIM and noticed that I was more cut, for lack of a better word.I am not cut, but...... My Libido is mostly mental I think. The Endo felt up my titties today.LOL no lumps. That's good, but it fkn hurts. This guy is clueless about Finasteride. I told him I was on Propecia. I told him that finasteride is what I think is the cause. He Did not know that Propecia was finasteride!!!!!!!!!!!!I had to explain it to the guy!Pathetic. He had to go look up the stuff and when he returned he told me that "yes it can cause breast tenderness in men." NO sh*t! FNK rocket scientist!
He asked how much longer I had to stay on propecia!!!UNFKNREAL! I wanted to sh*t on his floor!LOL I explained to him why I had to stay on it until hell froze over.He then tried to explain to me how it can mess up the hormones and I was one step ahead of the guy and had to fill in his blanks. He looked like a deer in the headlights when I explained the DHT,Estrogen,Test, ect, how it all ends up as .......MAN BOOBS> What a day.

Propecia to proscar switch

I was on propecia 1mg a day for 6 months until i realized proscar was cheaper. My shedding had almost stopped at that point, However, I switched over to proscar and was 1/4ing for the first week and half. During that time i had testicular pain and big decrese in sex drive and alot of shedding. So i started to cut it into 5ths ( about 1mg each part, closer to the propecia i was on for 6 months ) the side effects went away, after switching, but im still shedding. I know shedding is a huge topic on this forum, but i still havent gotten a good answer to the question of 'When will it stop ?? ' my hair is still thinning in the frontal and temporal areas quite a bit, although i have noticed some new thicker, darker hairs popping out in the middle of my hairline, so it must be doing something.

Please help :) thanks,

Add Minoxidil and Nizoral to your regimine. Then wait about nine months. You will see results if you are like most.

I dunno, everyone suggests Minoxidil, the stuff i have is some 'target' brand stuff, and it is OILY as hell, it makes my hair look like SHIET. ( makes me look more bald then i actually am ) are all brands of minozidil the same??

Im also not a fan of the 2 times a day, if you could just put it on once before bed, that'd be wikkid, but having to do it in the morning and then go out in public, is not gonna work :(

any suggs'??

ps, i am using nizoral 3 times a week as well.

You could use Dr. Lee's minoxidil which is less oily. Otherwise, no the stuff works and if you dont use, it wont work.
