Perhaps optimistic??? I'd say totally misleading...Dermatch is a hard packed powder. The only way you could add two inches to the hairline with it would be to paint 2 inches of scalp in front of the hairline. Oh yea that'll look goodRed Rose said:Anyway I am prepared to concede that an advance from NW3 to NW1 is perhaps optimistic but certainly dermmatch can give the impression of a much much fuller hairline
Red Rose said:I still stand by what I said though - I think dermmatch is an excellent product and I suspect that you are very much in the minority for thinking it is anything but.
YES it is. I wouldn't have posted otherwise and that's how I was able to suggest using a mirror in sunlight to show how visible these concealers really are.Red Rose said:BTW is that blurb on concealers actually based on your own personal experience or not?
Well, I worked with it for about 15 minutes, brushed different ways, tried everything I could, and it looked like sawdust. Part of the problem was that it wasn't exactly the color of my hair -- the blond is too light, the light brown is too dark. The other part is that no matter how much brushing I did, it simply was very obvious in my hair.supernova said:All the concealers work fine if you use them correctly. Lots of people on here complain about Toppik being "sawdust" when they pour it on their heads. I don't know if these guys just dump Toppik on their scalp and expect a miracle--you have to work at it too. Brush it through your thinning areas.

Aren't these two statements mutual exclusive?
Buffboy said:Okay. I think you guys are talking about concealers in general. I want an answer to my specific situation: I have diffuse thinning in front, hairline intact. What should I go for? Toppik, Dermmatch or Prothik? I have also seen this product, called Nanogen.
See this movie: http://www.nanogen.co.uk/watch_nanogen_in_action_HQ.htm
Is it something to go for or same as Toppik?
