What kind of surgery are you looking into? I know this sounds vain as hell, but whatever, if we weren't all a bit vain, we wouldn't be on this site, right? (Am I spelling vain correctly? It's f'n late.=)

I'm thinking about getting my double chin lysuctioned. Just thinking at this point. It's just that I'm not overweight at all really, yet I still have it, kind of like Chandler from Friends. I haven't been consistent about going ot the gym though, either. I plan to try that first, really hit the weights and cardio hard for a good 6 months straight before I do anything rash.

Just curious. Answer at your own discretion, of course.

FYI, I just got my teeth whitened through Brite Smile today. They were never terribly faded, but man are they white now! It's great, I look a bit younger (I'm 28 now). People saw me smile today in passing at work, and they commented that I looked especially happy. So don't feel bad about whatever surgery you're going to get. If it helps you feel better about yourself, it's worth it.

Good luck.

Rhinoplasty and chin implant. I have a rather large nose and weak chin for a male

You should do a low carb diet and work out before you try lipo. I have been working out since august. At first I kind of dreaded it. Now I put on some muscle and lost a lot of fat. I enjoy it and go 6 out 7 days a week. I having surgery soon so I am dreading missing about a months worth gym.
Give it a whirl before you take the so called "Easy Way Out" with lipo.

Referring to your teeth, that's awesome. I had braces when I was a teen but like a moron I never wore my retainers, so they are a little crooked now. I am going to get "Invisalign" braces soon and it includes a professional whitening with it.

No just gotta get rid of this tiny acne that I get.

So in conclusion yes all these changes makes me feel better about my self. I am a single 24 year old male and do all of them for myself appearance and confidence. I would never do these things because someone ask me to

Good Luck my friend, feel free to reply we are all here to help :p

Nothing wrong with PS in my book. I find it rather hypocritcal that the people in our society put such high value on beauty, unless it comes at the hands of a skilled surgeon. Attractive people are rewarded for their beauty as if God has specially blessed them, and our society looks down on those who seek to change their misfortune.

I had my surgery yesterday (tuesday). It was not a painful as I thought it would be. My face is all swollen up and the only thing that hurts is my chin implant. I went to the doctor this morning (24 hours after surgery) he said everything looks good and to just relax for the next week or so. I really hated talking the oxycodone pills since they made me nauseous and dizzy. I stop taking them and switched to extra strength tylenol. So far I am rather pleased and have no regrets. Even though I look like mike tyson kicked my *** I am sure the bruises will subside soon.

Thanks to everyone for their info, I will keep you poste with results of my hair and plastic surgery :hairy:

glad to hear the surgery went well. Gonna post any before and after photos?

I went to school with a kid who had cancer at a very young age, so he got a chin transplant when he turned 18. I never did see him after that, since I moved away for college and never saw most of my high school colleagues after that. But I heard he looks worse than before, though I heard this from his long time friend, so I'm sure it's a case of getting used to somebody looking a certain way, and then comparing it to the shorter-term change.

As for the brite smile, it cost $500. I got a bonus at work this year, otherwise I never would have paid that much. But seriously, I am feeling a bit depressed lately, since I look a little older than I did just 2 years ago, probably due to sun damage and stuff- I'm 28 now. So I've been doing things to help, and that was just one of them. Truth be told, my teeth were never that bad, but now the look pretty good. Actually, it turned out a little "blotchy", so I complained, and they are giving me a tough-up for free. Something tells me that second touch-up is included in the initial price. Nothing is free in this world! =)

So if your teeth are somewhat dark, from smoking or much wine drinking, then I recommend it. Check out their website by searching for brite smile. You call the 800 number and they'll find a dentist who does it. Sometimes the price varies by $50 or so, too, so pick the right one. But if your teeth aren't bad, you won't see STELLAR results. I'm just vane. =)

Good luck.
