RomanFromFrance: By "front", I assume you're talking about your hairline?
This makes me feel a bit better, as I've just got diffused thinning around the top. My hairline is unaffected.
Two months in now on finasteride, nizoral and minoxidil... and still shedding. Not an incredible amount, (notice 10-20 in the shower, and pick up maybe four or five when I run a wet hand through my hair), but still. I've heard horror stories of people noticing 40-50 hair in the shower. Thank God it's not that bad. Plus, as my hairloss is at a very early stage, as long as I have my hair dry, it's still pretty much undetectable. Then again... I'm only 17.

Gah.
We'll see how this plays out, but I'm feeling a bit better. A few days ago there was a Propecia survey going through the Hairloss Help forums, and incredibly enough, all but one person said they'd seen positive results in the long run (many had been on finasteride for several years), and that one just said he was "unsure" about how finasteride had affected his condition. Not only that, but quite a few said they'd been through some pretty bad sheds, some lasting months.
Hmm.
