Well the chonircally depressed would probably get benefits from that disability alone. I think a lot of us have an underlying issue we're not facing anyway and the fact that we're losing hair only further complicates the issue. Most of us here obviously are highly critical of ourselves anyway. I'll be the first to admit it but I'm becoming a lot more positive every day. I'm actually at a great place in life right now, just trying to stay there.

Now I'm 32 I'm very very glad of it. It's taken me many years to get to the place I'm at now. This is why I despise some of the doom mongers on here. It's like they want to drag everyone down to their level...

Just because I am in a worse situation than you and share my poor experiences here doesn't mean I am trying to "bring you down". If anything it should make you feel grateful that you look like a sasquatch.

But on the topic of compensation, I think bald men deserve some kind. Almost anything can pass for a disability now a days if you are observant. This reminds me of a story I heard of the bald owner of a dinner serving free food for anyone who was genetically bald. That is what I call looking out for your own kind. In this case though, I doubt baldness would qualify as a disability because it would force the government to acknowledge baldism officially and that will just not ever happen.

I'm with you UC - it's quite galling that obesity is classed as a disability. A disability brought entirely about by one's own wrecklessness and greed, not genetics, depite what obese people claim

I accept that baldness on its own isn't a disability, as some bald men lead a perfectly normal life, but the pyschological impact can be devastating - as many here can attest to - especially to those already suffering from depression
