This is really true, and I need to adopt your tactic in ignoring him. The problem is that he does make every thread into the Fred show, only idiots actually give a sh*t about his life but he seems to think everyone needs to know about his pointless ramblings.

Me too. I've shared way too much personal information on here, and I'm really worried (and paranoid lol) about someone "catching" me on gourmetstylewellness.com. If someone did I might kill myself (not literally, but you know...) lol.

I became more guarded as things progressed and I realised I'm not just on here temporarily. At the start I wouldn't have had much issue revealing anything about myself, why would it matter if I'm gone soon never to return, but months later it dawned on me that I'm staying, and not to just write anything about myself that any person I know could potentially read.

I guess the one good thing about being an isolated loser is that you wouldn't have to worry about this issue.

I don't remember seeing anyone attack Parisienne (or Joan) either, with the exception of SadVegeta. But he basically attacked anyone who was a female. I dunno why people have complained about me, other than based on my appearance. If anyone will enlighten me you are welcome to do so.

I can definitely think of one other person than SadVegeta who gave parisienne sh*t out of nowhere, and the fact you can't remember that tells me you're biased yourself. Because that was pretty damn obvious and I'm sure you saw it, but you'll downplay it because you have all that resentment about women.

Face up to it, there is definitely a snidey attitude to female posters on here, I know plenty of us males give each other sh*t, however that's normally based on something it doesn't just happen for no reason. With females their reputation precedes them. I agree with you, it is annoying to read that EvilLocks, Parisienne, and Joan are under siege here.

Miserable_PlantFood is long gone. He was here for a couple days, took over the forum in that time period, and is now gone.

In this thread, only one person is disliking EL. It's not that bad. When men circle the wagons in defence of EL at the smallest slight they are implying she is weak, it's very ironic actually, that is a much bigger criticism of her than anything Dante92 wrote.

But by all means if it's a significant offense, step in. I did step in a few times, for example against Miserable_PlantFood, as it came off like he was going to go on a mass shooting.

You might be right actually (with regards to females being treated badly), I just get a snidey attitude about females generally on this forum, I even made a topic about it, and I do remember Parisienne getting random sh*t from Fred based on nothing, presuming what she's like because she's a female, but I can't be arsed looking it up.

The aforementioned thread I made was about whether this hatred and hypocrisy towards women is actually healthy, that was the point, I didn't care so much about how our attitudes affect women, it was more about whether we should feel like this in the first place.

An on-going general opinion is "Why do superficial women not accept us as ugly bald men?" Well, we see them the same, we aren't attracted to ugly women, it's pure hypocrisy. Nobody wants an ugly woman the same way that hot/average women don't want ugly men.

Fair point as well. Regardless the route of the problem still exists, many people here have some very misogynist ideals, and at the time I made that thread it was even more blatant, more celebrated.

If a woman walked into a men's locker room, should the guys have to put on their clothes? But you didn't acknowledge that there's no point posting in the women's section because it's completely dead. If a woman likes this forum, and finds it to be interesting in terms of discussion, maybe more balanced than other female dedicated forums, then I understand why a woman would want to post here. And she shouldn't automatically be dispelled because of her sex.

At the same time you are right about it officially being a men's forum, that's the idea, so I'm not super defensive in how women are treated here. My main point is that guys shouldn't take their resentment out on women because of their personal problems, so the issue shouldn't exist in the first place.

I think your overly passive attitude is bending beyond the point of being reasonable, and while I respect your calmness, there's still no need or excuse to treat people like sh*t just because this is a forum based on a particular gender.

Now we're talking in principle, because like I just admitted to CaptainForehead, I'm not completely sure women do get treated like sh*t here, it's a vague impression I got and it's possibly down to other people claiming women get treated like sh*t here. But the point remains, I don't feel that it should be alright to treat people like sh*t just because it's a particular type of forum.

Yes, I'll mainly agree here. Joan is making the point (as far as I understand it) that women who post here shouldn't expect respect because this is a man's forum, and I disagree.

Whether or not women are treated badly on here, I'm not sure, I've seen some bad instances, but I've also seen the same for men, but this is besides the point now.

There are other women's forums that are busy. Only so much negativity is tolerated there, unfortunately, unlike the men's forums. Still, they are another option. I think the problem isn't so much men taking out their resentment on women. Sorry, I'm not going to change my mind. With the exception of SV, I don't think women are treated like sh*t due to their gender. I think it's more due to how we present ourselves at times. If anything, we're treated better than the guys due to our gender ("white-knighting", as some call it).

I agree that no one should be treated like sh*t here because we are all equal human beings with feelings and going through the same struggles, to different degrees, as a result of hair loss.

Well this is important, just in the same way that male forum members can say something to get themselves in trouble with others, so can females, it's just that in the examples we're talking about, such as Parisienne, I didn't really see what she did wrong, but I don't see everything.

That's a different story. I think we agree that it shouldn't be a staple of the forum to treat anyone like sh*t based on something that is pre-determined, so I apologise if I got what you were saying incorrectly.
