i hate this stuff, it stinks so bad, i can't even imagine walking around with it on my head. i only put it on at night, and right before lights out too, so the smell doesnt bother me. plus its expensive as hell for such a tiny ammount you get. a .5ml application is only enough to do your temples, what about if you want to block dht all over your crown.

i wont be buying anymore of this stuff, does anyone have any topical dht blocking suggestions?

Yeah that dont mind, but when it does not work they certainly mind. In my two months with 2% spironolactone liquid I have noticed no regrowth and an increase in shedding. My budds at the gym ar calling me Pepe Lepew because of the Mercaptain odor it gives off. You have to be crazy to ingnore this smell- it is very strong.

I would like to see a fool go in public smelling like this.

I am using dr lees spironolactone. There is a definate smell, but it is not that bad. I only use it on my receding temples and have gone out with it on. Maybe my long-ish hair covers up the applied area.

i coulda wrote this meself. i use lee's 2%. odor hasn't been a prob for me, and the dabber applicator ROCKS like crazy. i've saved my empty dabber bottles and i use one to dab minoxidil on my hairline, works great. i'll be dropping the spironolactone though as i don't know that it's contributing anything to my minoxidil success.

finally i have an avatar! word to gourmetstylewellness.com!

I'm dropping the spironolactone too. Only been on it for a month and have been using it only once a day because even at night that smell permeates. I'm sick of it. It's not bad, but distinct, kind of like wearing the same cologne to bed day after day it just gets tiring.

The main reason is not that I personally found the smell distasteful, but moreso when I get a stable girlfriend again I just don't want to have to sit her down and say, hey, guess what... before you sleep over for the first time and we screw like rabbits, I have to put this sh*t on my head first that kind of smells. Better get used to it baby, because I have to use it every damn night or this hair you have fallen in love with will all fall out.

It is just not going to work out, man. I mean, in the short term you can get around it, hide it, but on a long term, recurring basis, it is just not compatible with my lifestyle.

Unicron, I'm on the 2% which is supposed to be the most odiferous. The 5% is supposed to be odorless, but comes in a cream vehicle which seems like it would be messy and greasy. I suppose it comes down to whether your girlfriend or potential girlfriend would rather bed down with a skunkhead or a greasehead? Then again, they might find it very sexy? And on the oft chance that you have a skunkfucking fetish, it might be your holy grail? buwahaha!

Just buy a dog and let it be with you night and day. If anyone complains about the smell of spironolactone, you could just say your dog has a farting problem.

As for caring about smell over our hair... well, yes, we are kind of into 'hygiene' over here. As for caring about our hair more than the functioning of our dicks, well it is quite logical. All that male pattern baldness men are ever gonna get in their lives is masturbation... so might as well forgo a little stiffness and instead have a hairline good enough to get close to a woman and at least check out her tits and *** better. At least that way when we get home, we may not get hard but at least we are functional enough to pleasure ourselves. And on the bright side of masturbation, you can have whomever you want! I've had Jennifer Lopez 43 times... and have NOT had to pay for her expensive tastes in dates. No fancy clothes, no witty dinner reparte, no needing to impress, none of that crap... just straight to the nasty stuff. Ah, the joys of male pattern baldness...

LOL- Well put Gardner!!!

Also only 2% of the people who use Propecia have sexual sides, so stop talking sh*t and ruining it for guys who have a shot at keeping their hair. :freaked2:

I assume we are talkin about spironolactone when applied over minoxidil? The actual product has no smell to it.

I`ve not been on it long enough to judge the effects.Propecia can take up to a year work,so i dont expect spironolactone to produce instant results.
I think you should at least give the stuff 6-12 months before throwing it out the window.
