Since the onset of hair loss is genetically determined and let's say you know it will start for you when you're 40, would taking anabolic steroids at 20 prematurely trigger your hair loss? You hear stories about guys who start on gear suddenly start losing their at an accelerated rate when they had perfect hair before that. If that's true, how can that happen if it was set to happen later in life? Does the huge increase in testosterone and thus DHT switch the balding gene on early?
Or were they already losing their hair, just more slowly and it wasn't detectable yet and the roids sped up the process?
