I did a forum search on aggressive hair loss. I can see a lot of people talking about it and I am curious if I fit the description of someone who has it. It mainly sounds as though aggressive hair loss is where you cross several Norwood stages within a few years but opinions vary.
There is a thin patch at the back of my head that went from barely noticeable at 21 to a gaping hole the size of my fist at 24. There must be at least one Norwood stage there.
Would that be aggressive? Practically normal? Or even steadier than usual? Bear in mind that although I have no yet fully begun a regime, I have done as much as possible to slow down the hair loss. I.E: generally just being careful with it and not ripping hair out for any reason, keeping it nourished and not coating it in chemicals. I have heard of people going completely bald within 4 years and I am sure I was supposed to be one of those people
So how fast must one lose hair in order for it to qualify as aggressive? Any consensus here?
