The side effects are NOT hilarious. People SHOULD be informed about the risks. I do not want to frighten people but I do believe people should have all the necessary information to make a decision for themselves. I have been on finasteride for between 2 to 3 weeks and have noticed a complete disappearance of morning erections so don't come telling me it is psychological. Still capable of erections otherwise though but I don't believe the loss of morning erections is particularly healthy. I advise you to go to http://www.propeciasideeffects.com/ and read that irreversible side effects have been reported after just one month of use. Now this may be less than 50% of people, it may be less than 90% of people, hey, it may even be what Merck reports, but if you have bad luck you just may be among them. Personally, I would advise people to at least try it but either stop immediately when you notice sides, lower the dose if such sides occur and continue at own risk or do nothing and continue at own risk but keeping in mind what could happen. Personally, I'm going to lower my dose to 1 mg every OTHER day and see what happens.

You would be well-served doing that for at least 6 months anyway. Plenty of studies have shown that doseages as low as .2 mg of Propecia daily can have around the same efficiency as the recommended 1 mg when the user first starts taking it.

After time, though, you will have to up your doseage. I think 1 mg every other day at the beginning would be fine.

WTF? Uhm, you totally misread the note. I meant, it is funny that people continue to extend this thread when the OP never even came back to read it.

I was NOT making a comment on people's sides. Geesh...

How do we know the original poster has not read all the responses ?

Why do we need the original poster to 'come back' to continue discussing the issues raised ?
