Clumps? Define clumps. Do you mean 5-6 hairs in one pull? You do know that the average person sheds 150 strands of hair EVERY DAY, right? And this is completely normal. Even balding guys shed this much without treatments. The difference is that when hairs return to anagen phase after catagen and telogen, the hairs grow with a smaller thickness thanks to DHT and byproducts of it choking the follicle and reducing the dermal papilla in size over time.
Lemme put it this way:
I've been on this forums for four years and not once has anyone came back to the forum and said 'it was just a thyroid issue'.... virtually every guy here is experiencing normal androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) to some degree. Even IF you were to lose some of your hairline, its expected anyway at some stage in your life as basically NOBODY retains their highschool hairline, some recession is completely normal and expected.... but that doesnt mean you're going to turn into a full on NW6 baldie. Have you noticed how some guys develop an NW3 hairline by their mid 20s and stay that way until theyre 80 years old? Well, that was the case with my grandfather.
So what do you really want us to tell you? That you dont have male pattern baldness when in all honest, its 99% certain that you do? I would hope that the forum members here have better things to say than keep you in a delusional state of mind just to make you feel happy. If thats the case, I might as well tell you to waste your time by going to church and saying a useless prayer to save your hair.
Face it dude, rarely does anyone escape male pattern baldness. Perhaps if you swallow finasteride like tic-tacs and it works for you forever without side effects, then yah you might stand a chance.
