Hello all, long time visitor, first time poster!
I'm turning 40 soon, and I have been stressing about my hair since I was 17. My girlfriend at the time kindly pointed out that I was receding a bit (yeah thanks for that!!) It's funny as before that moment I never gave it any thought, I probably should have as my Dad starting losing his hair in early 20's, and was completely bald by 30 (well apart from hair at back and sides).
So since that moment I have been been constantly stressing about losing my hair, I must admit I thought I would follow in my Dad's foot-steps and be a baldy by 30, so I started using minoxidil when I was 19, used that for a few years, but stopped mainly because I was a student and couldn't really afford it, and my recession was only slight so I decided to just give it a rest.
So over the next 10 years, my hairline didn't really change that much, bit more loss on the temples but I was happy enough to get to 30 and still have the majority of my hair!
Thankfully my hair loss hasn't been aggressive, it's been slowly receding over the past 23 years, but the last few years it's started to really bother me again. Definitely receded a bit more, I have zero loss at the crown though which is one good thing, I just don't want it to recede anymore!
I did start taking Propecia for 10 months when I was 38, but had really bad sides so stopped that, and have been using minoxidil again for last 12 months, I'm getting lots of those fine hairs coming through so will keep using it, in the hope they will get thicker over time, and maybe it will help protect what I still have.
I just wanted to get your opinion of what norwood I am? as you can see from pics, i have good density on top/sides, it's just the recession. Also if you think my hairloss/recession will get worse, or maybe it's reached it's final destination (please god I hope so!!)
One other thing to add, my brother is 45 and has really thick hair, no hair loss at all.
