Users of oral minoxidil, have you experienced any suspected effects of aging taking it?

I'm seriously considering taking 2.5mg of oral minoxidil to compliment my hairloss regimen, I'm impressed by the results but what's more I also have had a problem with vasoconstriction for much of my adult life by the name of "reynauds phenomenon" I'm currently using sildenafil to treat it but I don't like the fact that it also increases testosterone as well in doing so.

My biggest worry about taking oral minoxidil is that it will give me the same ill side effects that made minoxidil topically a complete no-go for me. I developed fine lines on my forehead and my undereye that simply weren't there before. Not to mention the insane scalp redness and flaking that I experienced from the topical as well.

I want to hear from oral minoxidil users, past and present, did at any time of your taking it did you ever suspect that it was reducing collagen in your body, especially your face, or more specifically, did you feel as if it was accelerating your natural aging process.

Anyone with experience is welcome to respond, not really interested in arguing my personal experience to which I think minoxidil absolutely did have adverse effects topically.

oral is worse than topical but depends on dosage
I too k 5mg, had the skin aging effect but it went away once I stopped, so clearly it was minoxidil not just "aging"
2.5mg is the equivalent of using 5% minoxidil twice a day topical in terms of systemic absorption

I took another look at it and at 12.5 mg. I don't think it's a big deal and as an MtF, here's a tip. They sell concealer in lipstick shapes and that will fix you right up under the eyes. Of course, as many are seeing now, MtF HRT is like Ponce de Leon in a handful of pills. Literally, this is what we have been waiting for forever so don't miss the boat ceteris paribus. I know you guys won't do it and I originally had a no makeup no earring rule but eh. You can really improve your looks by playing around with makeup a little. There's a reason why chicks use it; it's because it works and they know it instinctively. When I post, Will is without makeup but Janey always has makeup on.

The wrinkles I experienced undereye and on my forehead are largely ameliorated by my hormones being in the right proportion and stopping the topical minoxidil, I will get laser treatments for my skin later on this year or next including other therapeutic treatments for anti-aging until I'm of an age where I think it no longer looks appropriate (I still look like I'm in my late 20s depending on how much sleep I get and how much I exercise, lol).

I think I'm going to try 2.5mg loniten and be very very careful and observant about what it does to my body while taking it. Hopefully while using estrogen and taking a low enough concentration of loniten, I will split the difference and get the hair gains boost I'm looking for while mitigating any sort of serious collagen loss.

I'm thinking I could even take it every other day considering it is not known to cause refractory hypertension upon quitting the medication.

Thanks for the responses guys, I think I will give it a shot and as always I will report back my findings.

I am going down to 6 mg tomorrow morning because I am starting to see too many little hairs. I got almost four months of 12.5mg so ~5mg is still a healthy dose and maybe those of us who are chemically female should be taking the female dosage which is lower. I looked at my eyes and they were fine today. Lipstick concealer folks and guess what they put it in a black tube for guys!

Now that I am on HRT, I don't bother to watch the Super Bowl. Cause and effect or just covid19 who cares?
