It's true, face the facts. I took Finasteride for about 4 months when I was 18, I suffered a serious decrease in ejaculate, soft erections, testicular pain/shrinkage and penile shrinkage, Depression and weight gain. I got off Finasteride and everything returned to normal, unfortunately I got back on Finasteride because of my aggressive male pattern baldness. That's when the trouble started, I won't begin to list the side effects, just think about what a completely imbalanced hormonal system will do to a young guy.
Anyways fact is, it is the only method of halting male pattern baldness/Androgenetic Alopecia and unfortunately for us young guys it seems to have extreme negative consequences. Everybody reacts differently and therefore I can't say it will be the same for everyone.
If I had another chance though I would use Finasteride but at a low dose, about (.25mg or lower). At the first sign of side effects I would get off it. It's a potent drug and needs to be monitored carefully.
To all those ignorant people that say the side effects are Placebo effects/Exaggerated/Non-existent, you need to realize that the actual level of men that suffer side effects is much higher than 2%. Especially in the younger generations. Dihydrotestosterone is a key factor in the growth process. For many people it is needed to maintain erections and retain normal sexual functions. Since it seems to have the "Brain fog" effect on some people, it could also have a function in the brain.
Don't get me wrong, Finasteride can be a miracle-drug for the men who are able to handle it. Just be weary that for some men it can really upset the natural balance and cause some temporary/permanent side effects.
