Hey,

31 years old, Asian man with strong thick donor area.

Been on propecia for 10 years on and off, no side effect apart from watery seaman but that gets thick again once I go on a break for 2 months.

minoxidil foam twice a day, Laser comb 3 times a week and Pumpkin seed tablets every day.

I think propecia has slowed down my hair loss dramatically.
Everyone in my family, Dad and Uncles are all NW6/7.

I am considering a hair transplant and need advice on which Dr to go for. So far I had a consultation with Dr Asim Shahmalak of Crown Clinic.

He was a bit arrogant to say to the least but I see he is quite high profile and also some celebrities have had an hair transplant with him.

He quoted me £4.5 per grant for 2000 grants. FUE procedure.

A mix of my pics, wet and dry hair.

Any advice? I am looking to get a hair transplant soon.

If you’re looking for something cheap, then definitely erdogan. He is great and most of his results are great
Also if you don’t fut, hasson and wong usually do miraculous work
Maybe dr konior as well if you’re lookung for something conservative
These are my personal picks tbh

Can't have both cheap and the best bro. I am saving up for Rahal. Not having anyone but the best play with my scalp and hair. There are no redos.

Hmm so Erdogan quoted me 5000 grants and 12000 euros  where as others have quoted me 2000 grafts. I am not sure if one of the in house team got it wrong as they said my vertex and crown needs work.... but that is the part of my head that is full of hair... It just my top and hair line that is the issue.

I am looking at Harley Street Hair Clinic which quoted me £8000 for 2000 grafts, cheaper than Turkey haha. Also Spex represents them.

I am sooo confused as I had my hopes on Erdogan.

yup every guy on both sides in my family but I have held out pretty well on Propeica for 12 years. Once I hit the age for 45 I dont mind being a Norwood 7 but I just want hair for another 10 years at least.

Yeah I feel you on that man, after 45 I wont care either but i only turned 22 lol, I also have many many nw6-7 in my family. Your pattern of hairloss is really interesting too its like similar to how my mom is currently losing hair. I am also losing it in a kind of similar way. I heard that for diffuse hairloss guys a lot of doctors are hesitant to do the surgery since they are afraid of shock loss from transplanting so close to healthy hairs. Did that doctor say anything about this?

Also have you been stabilized for years? Did your hair continue to get much worse after treatment or did it stay the same for the most part?

ohh so maybe we both have a similar pattern of loss. At 19 I started to get "female" type of loss when it slowly thins out at the top "the parting". Propecia, minoxidil and laser comb dramatically slowed down my hair loss and even stablised it for a number of years.

Back, crown, sides are super thick. Just the top of the head and the hairline that is thinning out.

So far the dr's I saw said I should be fine. Also Shock loss is not permanent anyway.

There aren’t too many great success stories from the U.K., mate. Usually very overpriced too. All I can say is do your research thoroughly. Speak to people who have made posts on the transplant subsections on here and then more research.

€4.5? Not a hope.. €1 per graft you will find very good clinics in Turkey

Hassan and Wong is FUT, no?

both are reputable clinics.

I went to erdogan and got a transplant there, pretty happy with the results. i would say 50/50 between the two clinics.

do some more research on them and come up with your own conclusion, id also check into rahal.

Hassan and Wong is FUT and FUE but that limit is 3000 grafts for FUE.

I went on Rahal's website but it looks super dodgy and Dr Lorenzo site. I am not sure if I am looking at the right website? haha
