Who is your bald hero?

Maybe this topic has been touched on before maybe not; but who is someone you look up to who is bald? They don't have to be famous. I would have to say Sir Elton John; this man sold out rock concerts in the 70s - the star of the show visibly bald; just goes to show talent can overrule appearences.

Since Elton John was deeply ashamed of his hairloss and obviously had a hair transplant, thus i would not list him as a bald hero who accepted themselves for their own physical appearance.

Patrick Steward on the other hand, win.

Why do people still think Elton has had a hair transplant? You cant go from bald to the amount of hair he's got. It obviously a wig!
Ps Eltons 70's heyday was in a former time when real musical talent actually mattered. No way that a short, fat, ugly, bespectacled, bald guy would get a record contract these days.

He wears a wig but he did have a hair transplant which was botched. And yeah how dare he conceal his bald head - we should all accept our horseshoes right? Seriously it's pathetic - people are more attractive with hair and especially someone in their young 20s such as myself.

He was using them for acting parts..I think he embraced his baldness pretty early. The man is definitely a positive story IMO.

Am puzzled at the Elton thing too - even now he's still sporting wigs that are for a man half his age

My fave baldies are Pep Guardiola, Andreas Iniesta and Wesley Sneijder..all look cool despite their loss/recession. Does Jude Law count? I wouldn't mind his looks even now...in fact, I'd be ecstatic.

As far as footballers go, theres dozens of baldy heros. My number 1 for 2010 though has to be Arjen Robben for sporting the unshaven horseshoe at the top level.. hes one of the worlds best yet weirdly hes also one of the most hated non-english players in Europe.

He is unknown outside the Hispanic world. But still my bald hero
Manuel "El Loco" Valdez, part of a legendary family of actors in Mexico.
He's been bald since the 70's at least, and it never stopped him from having an awesome career. In fact his signature has always been his long grown horseshoe
He along Hector Lechuga (another bald guy) made one of the greatest comedy shows in Mexican history in the 70's.

And he is best known in the paparazzi world in Mexico for getting this woman pregnant:

When Veronica Castro started dating El Loco she was the biggest star in soap operas, some would say she is the biggest name in the whole history of the genre. Her soap operas used to be big in the Soviet Union and South Asia.

Still to these days, people gossip about the issue.
At the time she could get any man she wanted. Big politicians, rich businessman, and the pretty boys she kissed on camera, all were trying to get her. She was the fantasy of the majority of men at the time.

Yet people still wonder why she chose a bald, ugly, skinny, dorky, foul-mouthed guy as El Loco.

TBH though it all depends on the image you want of yourself. Plenty of guys like Patrick Stewart and the other actors mentioned can portray themselves in a great and distinguished fashion. However most guys on here dont want that they just want to be young and attractive looking and you cant really achieve that with a bald head.

Yeah, definitely Jason Statham. Finally a bald guy that doesn't have a perfectly shaped skull but is still a handsome guy imo.

Also, Heath Ledger was my hero for a long time, when I was still more on the NW2 side. You could tell he was a receder starting at the temples, unlike Jude Law, who recedes from around the widow's peak back. You could particularly see this in his later roles, such as the Joker.

Oh--and Fedor Emelianenko. Famous MMA fighter, google him for some images, tell us what you think.

Steven Soderbergh and Patrick Stewart. Neat little bit of bald trivia: Stewart was bald by the time he was 19.
