I just hit three months and other than a 2-3 week period in the beginning I'm still shedding.

This treatment is complete garbage. You have a great chance of getting Telogen Effluvium from it though!! and, if you're not on any treatments, or respond poorly to them, consider yourself f*cked.

Kerastem has some decent regrowth images on their webpage but from forum users it seems to have been worthless... I hope we don't go down the same route with Histogen cause their pictures were damn impressive and it'd kill me if it also turned out sub par

yeah, damn pics can be deceiving though. I can take a pic of my head directly over top and it would look like I have a full head of hair. I can then take one from just a 15 degree angle and i look almost bald and like I have the plague. :/

Yeah, I mean it would be prudent for the rest of you to hold on to your $5k and see what happens to us. Hopefully the gamble will pay off but we all went into it knowing it was that.

Still, way to early for anyone to say it is crap yet. That's why they are doing the study in the first place (which will likely go to 2018 at the earliest). If their $300m investment is for real I don't think the plan is to intentionally try to scam people $5k at a time to make up for it.

I agree people should wait and see if us guinea pigs get any results. .. btw what do you mean when you say 300m investment? Link?

Some of the Histogen pictures were great. But some weren't.

Personally I have mixed feelings about it. If they were going to get FDA approved for men in the US, I would be all over
the Histogen bandwagon.

Do you think men will respond to it the same as women?
The pictures we have seen so far were 20 injections at baseline and 20 after 6 weeks. Given that the actual dose will be 50+50 there is a chance a fair amount of people will see decent regrowth. From the interview the doctor said that they can turn vellus hairs terminal, so assuming this isn't bs I would expect those in their 20s who have just started to have minituarization to respond the best, whereas those that have had their follicles inactive for many years to have minimal regrowth. On the other hand, assumimg it works for everyone, the longevity of the results will also be of concern since it doesn't adress the main problem and the follicles are still sensitive to DHT. If the picture below is anything to go by then gender shouldn't play a role.

Personally I am most excited for this treatment of all as its market availability seems to be closest, I just hope it doesn't go down the same route as PRP.

Agree with the above. i'll be down in Mexico in a flash, parting with any cash i can get my hands on

Call me a pessimist but do hope that both these practices, Hist and Kera, are not going through a 'pump and dump' of their company value via some future over-hyped phase 2 results. A lot of cash has been invested, and they'll be desperate to get a return. There's one hair research 'player' who is involved in both of these companies

This one looks like a dud. Wouldn't be advising people to drop $5k on this when Histogen is potentially around the corner.

It is good that they are targeting people in their forties and older. Have to agree with that. And this man
responded very well. Histogel is a lot better than Minoxidil, no question about that.

It's a relief to see therapies like these. There are some guys in their twenties who produce so much DHT, nothing
really helps them. On the other hand, I'm in my forties. Chances of getting my hairline back to Norwood 2 without
some powerful medication are practically zero.

I just hope the US starts getting more approved hair therapies. So far, there are just four. Minoxidil, Finasteride, Dusasteride,
and laser therapy.

There are some guys that have success with laser therapy. Usually they are mixing it with other treatment options.

If you do try this, could you please email me your opinion of your results?

I will send you my results if I do get the treatment but it's targeted for 2017 and so far I have only saved up 4000$. Both time and money will be a limiting factor.
