I agree with Swoop, that doesn't look like Androgenetic Alopecia hair loss. Maybe it's a shock form the treatment?

I didn't get a spot like that after I had the treatment.
Yeah… though they did say that there was no shock loss from this treatment, maybe there haven't been enough to really know yet. To be honest, I'd expect it to be a risk. I just hope it doesn't spread.

More info on anesthesia/surgery loss I guess: http://www.keratin.com/ao/ao007.shtml

@Vincent777 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hikaqgasvxrtnhc/AABLiOTjHV56XDUZSwD2vCyia?dl=0 various angles the last two days, I assure you I did not manipulate anything...

Any form of "stress" can launch a hair follicle in telogen theoretically. However it should resolve by time. Minoxidil would be a good action to take yeah.

Btw damn you were pretty beat up from that treatment. Looks like you went 1v1 vs Alistair Overeem lol.

Haha, those pictures were from nearly a week after the treatment too… although I do bruise fairly easily and I was still traveling afterward which probably didn't help my case…

For those going for the procedure, as I said earlier… do not do what I did, go right home and rest more.

I didn't have any shock loss or anything. Belprime have treated a lot people with Kerastem..I'm speculating between 5 to 10 per month. I'm sure they'd know of what, if any negative reactions patients have experienced or reported.

I'm not saying it isn't unusual, but I can't think of anything else that'd impact it so much. It was the most invasive procedure I've ever had done for sure.

Its also still early in the procedures life, considering they only started taking photos of peoples scalps recently, it's still probably not super sure what an impacted sample may be?

I dunno, I want it to be as good as the rest of you hope, so don't think I'm going out of my way to talk about it going bad or something. We're all here to share our experience in the end.

Vincent - top man - much appreciated! Unfort i arrive late Thur, into the clinic at noon friday then discharged from the clinic Sat 3pm and go straight to the airport to fly back. Thanks though

Jayeffbee - you say Belprime are now taking photos: did they take a decent shot of the back of your head which will show if it was there before the treatment?

It definitely was not there, but they probably do have photos.

I was at a wedding before I left that I saw my parents for the first time in a while, and then again recently since returning as well and it was my mom who pointed it out as to me (as well as my haircutter)

ok. i had a concern with the cannulla walking horizontally in the subderm layer: it should be perfectly horizontal in some mm range, or they might hit and transect follicles. my own idea, of course.

btw, they got 48cc? huge! (nice)

Job done.... sitting in the clinic with not a lot to do thought i'd share my results in case they get lost

Tissue processed: 120g
Viability: 86.4%
Active Stems: 30.5m
Volumes for cell therapy (the solution which the stems are injected into the scalp via): 4.8ml

Dr Katarina is great and someone who you instantly have confidence in for both her ethics and ability. Snezana and the rest of staff are class and v friendly.

Now only time will tell - will update in 3 or so months.

So without knowing anything about this treatment, it looks like someone hits you in the ribs with various blunt objects for several hours, which somehow triggers hair growth?

(no but for real this is interesting even though I don't know much)

Hey guys,
I'm still looking to see some pictures, from what I've gathered this procedure is done at least for one year
and there are at LEAST 20+ people who have done it (possibly 10 times that), what about early goers from this and other forum? Any change?

Is there a chance of seeing the photos from the clinic? From people who had done it a year ago?

What do you mean, for one year?

Are you talking about the longevity of the treatment? Does this mean you have to renew the treatment and repeat the procedure every year?!

Good luck and keep us posted!

A few more questions:

1) Was it painful? Any swelling, scars or bruising?

2) How many times do you have to go to the clinic (i.e. number of medical appointments) for the complete procedure?

3) Another poster mentioned 5-10 patients being treated every month, why so few?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

1) Not really - a bit sore the next couple of days and you will likely get some purple bruising but nothing severe. It's 2 days after the ops and just done arms down the gym (doesnt engage stomach muscle which would be a bit sore)

2) Understanding is that effects should last for a year.

3) i think that 5 - 10 per clinic. Japanese probably a lot more. But, it's early days and i think all are a bit hesitant as there's not been a large trial (only an initial trial that led to 10-30% growth results). It's not going to be a miracle cure but ideally will keep things level for a 12 / 18 months when histogen should then be on the market. Large phase 2 trial is being carried on in NE USA - could trigger more treatments. Not cheap either.

Hope helps

Damn, I thought my english was decent. :)
No, I thought that this procedure has been done in clinics for more than one year now (maybe even more), so I'm asking where are the photos?

I think it takes 6m-1yr to fully evaluate, so maybe not over yet, but glad he thinks it's stableized him at least

Anyway, just out of dermatologist, and got steroids injected into my bald spot as the doctor did say it was in fact AA from a congestion of white blood cells. The steroids chase them away. Take it for what you will, but it must have been an immune response of some kind from the procedure. It hasn't seen to spread further though. I'm just glad I at least can feel some prickling there and he says it should fill up in a month or two.

Wish it wasn't my first date in a while tomorrow  Still beating it up with minoxidil.

Currently also considering trying a half dose of finasteride rather than 1.25 like last time.

Awesome @Vincent777 thank you for the report.

@lynney45 Sorry to bother you, but the month-by-month is very helpful since nobody has created a dedicated log on Kerastem yet so I appreciate you giving us an update.

It does sound like he is starting to see thicker density, and given that we are only 4 months in that is promising. The Kerastem pictures were 12 months down the road, so i'm thinking between month 6 to 12 is when we will hear great news. I think i'm going to go forward with this, my buddies and I are planning a trip to Croatia in September and i'm thinking I can go to Belgrade at the end of my trip and have this done
