minoxidil has been doing a decent job at keeping my hairloss at bay but over the past 1.5 months my hairloss has gotten so much worse and minoxidil seems to be loosing its strength.
My body cannot tolerate finasteride and even if I could playing Russian roulette with my body isn't worth it. Like you guys have felt, the sudden uptick in hairloss has been demoralizing. I think I might give this a chance. I'm fortunate enough to be in the position where I have the money to spend on this and even if it doesn't work I feel like I won't have any regrets about trying SOMETHING. Kerastem seems safer
to me than some of these experimental drugs that effect our hormones and/or we can only source from shady suppliers.
Even if Kerastem only holds my hairloss at bay temporarily and I had to have it performed once a year until something better came along I'd be ok with that.
What really bothers me about Kerastem I'm sure bothers everyone else:
1 - Where are all the pictures, all these clinics claim they perform this procedure on a regular basis. They cite patient confidentiality but you always see pictures of hair transplant's - this doesn't make sense to me.
2 - Even if they couldn't show pictures there is no one online talking about having the procedure done. Again, these clinics claim they do this procedure on a regular basis but you never hear about anyone having it done successfully or not.
3 - If Kerastem is being performed in European countries is there any clinical trial data for these countries or in Europe in general? Even seeing something like that would make me feel a bit more at ease.
Again as much as the above points bother me I'm getting to the point where I feel it would be foolish not to TRY something and live with regret that I didn't later on.
Thoughts?
P.S. Vincent777 is there anyway you can do some research since you're local and see if this is a reputable clinic in general? Also, maybe you can comment on any clinical trials they may have had to go through/if any, since you live there. Let me/us know, thanks in advance.
--Update--
After looking on Kerastem's website (
www.kerastem.com) They claim to be "CE" approved in Japan, Madrid and Switzerland (see attached picture). When I looked on wikipedia what CE approval really means they stated that it's something the manufacturer/service provider claim
themselves - therefore I don't think that claim holds too much water.
