Its like wearing hats. That myth got started because men used to join the military at 18 and would wear hats all the time, and soon after started balding. They attributed it to the hat when in reality they would have started balding anyway. Same thing with working out and high protein diets - a lot of men who start working out do so in their late teens/early 20s which is also the same time that male pattern baldness usually first shows up. Correlation does not imply causation!
That's what I'd have though. Although some may argue it increases testorone etc. etc.
Saying that, I do have a friend who by 20 had lost all the hair at the front of his head. He worked out 2 hours a day. His brother, 2 years older than him still has a full head of hair. Obviously one person means nothing though...
