Why so much hate in this forum ?

I visited forums about cancer/depression/suicide but only in forums about baldness i find people with the same problem judging each others with only a few compassion.

Easy answer, because baldness it's not a life threatening condition or a "physically" painful condition, therefore it is allowed to hate on each other and throw sh*t at each other because in the end we are all pussies for being here, including me.

i've seen lots of very supportive posts on this forum when people have written about depression/suicide eta

its when people write about not 'getting laid' do they get hate. to me that's a shallow post and its getting shallow replies.

I just joined a few days ago and one of the reasons I joined was the fact that people actually seem more helpful than on other balding boards.

On one in particular I don't think they are bad people, but rather paralyzed with fear of their male pattern baldness. Maybe you are seeing the same thing here....

whatever hate might be present here, it pales in comparision to what one must endure irl as someone that doesn't look normal (this especially relevant to not having hair)

so i suggest you forget this and concentrate on that as it's something that directly influences your life as opposed to a internet forum.

I can only speak for myself but I've had alot of negativity directed at me over the years for being bald. Much of that negativity is internalized only to be unleashed on the forums. It's kind of a cycle of abuse thing.

I have to agree wholeheartedly. That is why BBSA is the way he is and for that reason should not have been banned.

In fact, after BBSA was banned, I wanted to suggest an "Anything Goes" forum be created here where anyone who agrees to participate in it also agrees to accept the abuse so there would be no banning based on posts in that forum. It would give people a place to vent.

Did you see what BBSA was saying dude? he was being homophobic bigot he went into a hissy fit like a kid all because we said something he didnt agree on he also thought being very short make you disformed or you have a disability >___>...but not surprised that you like him you say that who ever likes YOU because off the scars etc you have means they have something wrong with them mentally >___>...yeah you two suit each other... what next? you gonna try and prove being bald is bad with a kids reaction? ooh wait...

Why? If the owners of this place and mods don't want racist and homophobic insults on their forums they are free to do whatever they want. Not even the impact section was created with the intent of everyone being able to "vent" their frustrations, especially not while insulting others.

As much as i understand the angry people here, i have the greatest respect for people like DannyBoyy. He's cool, living his life and dealing with his problems while some people act like he SHOULD be sad and bitter just so he can please their own taste. Im just trying to help people cause i have been there felt bad about losing hair etc etc i felt the same like most here but when my hair got worse (to the point where it was obvious i was going bald) when i thought **** it cause everyone knows now and weirdly unlike most here i never got insults thrown my way wasnt took the piss out off etc etc im not saying people wont take the piss...they will but thats life i had it before hairloss so it dont bother me...but i just saw things what are ALOT worse then losing hair and it made me think...what am i worrying for?

I respect "legit" bald guys coming here and sharing their negative experiences of the impact of hair loss, like UCMan and a few others and I don't argue with them...

But there are others here, NW2/3s, who are pointlessly pissing their entire lives away in this section of the forum (in which they do not belong)

I'm sorry but being a NW2/3 doesn't excuse you being an angry a**h** and wasting your whole of away on this forum.

Having a crappy upbringing, a crappy unloving family, a crappy education with no qualifications, a crappy low paid job with no promotion prospects, living in a crappy area, having LIFE THREATENING crappy health problems... those are real issues and problems which will genuinely impact on how good the rest of your life is and would justify you maybe having a crappy attitude on life... not a little bit of minor hairloss.

Some people here need to wake the f*ck up from their grossly indulgent self-pity and appreciate how small hairloss is in the grand scheme life... Much worse things can happen in life... and mark my words... over time they will!... then and only then, when you're faced with life's REAL problems will you appreciate how insignificant something like hairloss is.

Actually, it depends on your priorities, and may i repeat it again : each cas is unique.

If your priorities are work, having money, helping kids in Africa, yeah hairloss isn' t a major problem.

But if as a young guy, if you're like my case (don't care about money or having a nice job), who just want to attract some girls like his male friends, to feel attractive and hook up with average girls, hairloss is a very significant problem.

valid point. i have thought about it in this respect before. if you're someone who's striving to reach higher goals you won't let baldness become the center of your focus.
but if you're just a average guy living a average life, in this case it will inflict significant problems.

We have gone over this multiple times and you have yet to once acknowledge it. BBSA was banned for homophobic comments. Please stop spreading misinformation regarding his banning.
