My my That Guy is a real angry dude. Delusional, ignorant, and an Internet tough guy. "If the epithelial culturing problem is solved" (no kidding).

So, I eagerly await you analysis on why Follica will succeed, despite the fact that a) they've failed clinical trials b) the topical they need don't exist. I'm guessing "something something Penn dermatology".

Shiseido is a cosmetics firm that has pretty much zero expertise in drug (or even biologic development). They are not the smart money, so you have something in common.
So tell us why are you here then?

I'm being a productive contributor and giving you a dose of reality.

It's curious why That Guy likes to respond to objective claims by personal attacks. I blame propecia.

Because people who are stupid feel that they appear smart by taking a condescending tone of "skepticism" by anticipating, predicting and spreading universal failure and negativity on the internet. They confuse this with being "realistic" because they are unable to separate a perceived pattern from objective truths. I.e, "Things didn't work out when I was younger like I hoped they would; therefore, they never will." They are ideological in the "seeing is believing" mentality and that unless they see it with their own eyes, right in front them, they will not believe it even if you show them true information. This is why, despite pictures, video etc., we still have flat-Earth believers in the 21st century.

The pitiful creatures cannot even realize their own oxymoronic existence: They desire to be free of the curse bestowed upon them, but their ideology of negativity causes them to believe everything will fail simply by virtue of being a hairloss treatment.

I'm being a productive contributor and giving you a dose of reality.

Case in f*****g point

As I said, a very angry, unstable dude who refutes claims by going on rants. Somewhere out there, a village is missing its idiot.

Yes, and I do hope you find your way home soon.

I've refuted your claims by pointing out the failings of them. You're an idiot and I'm not wasting any more time talking to you.

There should be a yearly quota of messages.

That Guy has been pushing his naive optimism with 780 messages in 6 months.

Another guy that will be gone in two years after their favorite regime is still in development and can't back up their previous statements

Fact-driven optimism is better than conjecture/fallacy-driven pessimism. Try it some time.

I'll also probably be gone in about 6-7 months, while "the big 3" continue to give results and a handle of grafts to lower the front of the hairline.

10 years from now, you'll still be still be here complaining about baldness no matter how many options you'll have.

Tsuji has hardly anything left to prove, honestly. If the epithelial cell culturing problem is solved, there is little doubt this will work. Consider that Jahoda successfully grew new follicles in a human in the late 90s using a method not nearly as sophisticated as Tsuji.

I'm not trying to get into the pissing match but this is too much.

Dude, the epithelial cell culturing problem cannot just be brushed off with a wave of the hand. It isn't a small recent hiccup. It has been holding up HM for years and through multiple research groups. This is like saying, "The USA's energy dependence on the middle east is virtually over. They're just working out the cold fusion problem right now."

I've brought this up before. I guess you just don't want to hear it.

Exactly, that's the core problem of HM. Culturing these cells and retaining inductivity is hard, and no one has done it yet.

and as I've brought up every time you have, they have explicitly stated that their recent research has shed light on how to solve this problem. L'Oreal's partner also feel they have the tech to solve this problem.

but I guess you don't want to hear it

Do you realize how ignorant you are?

No, but I'm sure you're going to tell me. I recall that you're one of those geezers complaining about how sh*t didn't work out in the 80s.

This! I'm one of the old-timers on this forum (started visiting 7 years ago) yet I'm not bitter that I still can't get a good head of hair back.

We were talking about Intercytex and other failures in 2009, and it used to give me (false) hope but come on, companies like Intercytex cannot even be compared to the players we have today.

I'm thankful I could use minoxidil with some success, and that I could benefit from a state-of-the-art FUE hair transplant at a cheap price. The fact that it was possible for a NW5 to go back to having some hair is already a godsend, and many whiners don't even realize that.

"Yeah but it's not enough, I want a thick NW2!"

"Yeah but, it only looks 99% natural, and I don't want the .1% of the population who are Norwood spotters to notice!"

"Yeah but, it's too expensive, brb buying a new car!"

I could go on.

Yes these guys will still be whining when we have enough different treatments to all get back to a decent head of hair.

They'll complain that they have to fly to Japan, that it's too expensive and even then, the hairs are transplanted, and transplanted hairs will never look as natural as your native hairs!

You know what? Just remain bald and stop whining! You're not allowed anymore.

I have to be honest, it truly blows my mind. When hairloss started to hit me and I decided to take an interest in the research surrounding it, I never imagined that any disease would have such a high number of whiny, entitled, cynical, demanding little b****s.

There is always some excuse; something stupid to complain about and nitpick. Nothing is ever good enough.

I mean, look at how many people claim that it's just too much effort to take a pill every day or use a spray/foam twice a day. It's like, do you people not brush your teeth twice a day, shower, eat, clip your nails, etc? Like, for me to keep the schedule with Nizoral, take the finasteride and use the minoxidil is just a part of the daily routine now. It's takes no effort.

No post on this site has resonated with me as much as when David_MPN said that some people are genuinely terrified of baldness being defeated because then they could no longer blame it for so many of their personal problems or injustices — they will always find some excuse.
