It's just the way the world works. Our brain is structured in a way that it is always drawn to perfection.

Men in general are much more vain than women, you hear a ton of stories of men leaving their wives for a younger and better looking woman. While men stress about hairloss, women stress about wrinkles, weight gain, saggy boobs and a plethora of other things.

So it goes both ways, don't let it get you down that much.

You also have to take into consideration that the woman that posted that question on Yahoo is in her early 20's. Women change their tune after they turn 30.

Besides, it's the Yahoo Answers, the internet equivalent of a crack house. Here are some examples of other quality discussions on that site.

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... 629AA5iUip

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 757AAcCqHi

Are you really going to base your life around a group of people who have an IQ of an amoeba?

While you're on here getting 4,000 posts you could be spending that time making millions and I can guarantee you that you will be able to attract 80% of the female population then regardless of how bald you are.

Some people are just like that it's nothing to worry about. I'm sure some other people are disgusted by ginger people, short people, pale people, dark skinned people, etc etc. ''Perfect'' men, i.e. Hitler's kind of guy seem to be hated by everyone on this forum anyway haha so it comes full circle. Everyone is hated by someone.

I cannot believe anyone of you would actually take this seriously. Yes, there are women out there that do not find bald(ing) men attractive.

However, I am entirely certain based on experience of males doing this across the internet on a variety of subjects, that this is a post made up by a bald(ing) man and that no input from any women went into the creation of that little story.

no body and who cares? men leave and cheat on women all the time when they get old saggy wrinkly and fat.

Its who you are and what you do that defines you, not your hair or lack of it.

men who sit around and blame there baldness for lack of action are sad deluded boring people who are ugly not just bald so infact you probably struggled to find a girl when you had hair.
anybody can get a girl if your not shy and actually go out looking for them and dont hide in your house away from the world been scared of rejection.

success and confidence is the key. If you want a women go out and achieve something.

Monty you shallow man! I know a woman with female pattern hairloss, not severe but obvious to anyone. She is intelligent and absolutely gorgeous aesthetically, I must admit I could careless about her hairloss she is fit as!

Haha that aside, I actually agree with you, you cant choose who you are and who you are not attracted to, everyones got their own bag. When it comes to attraction, were all part of the same hypocrisy. Were just a load of pigs rolling around in the muck, so lets not be surprised when sometimes we get a little sh*t on us!

When people see me they can't see my sense or humor or my artistic talent, they can't see my accomplishments. They see my bald head and laugh, simple. I don't play ostrich and stick my head in the sand thinking that they maybe just thought of a funny joke at the exact moment they saw me. I refuse to delude myself. I need to look the cold hard truth in the eye in order to understand and process what I'm dealing with. The truth is people ARE responding negatively to my baldness... so I'm totally justified in blaming it as the cause.

UC...while i dont doubt that you get some negative reactions for being bald - i do fail to see why you would get them so much more regularly than other completely bald guys i know who don't.

I tend to really hate people my own age (especially students) that I don't already know because of how judgmental an age I'm at. I tend to get along much better with older people at work because they tend to just not care about my hair. Sure I'm covering it up to the point that I just look like I have a naturally large forehead (which I do) but I still don't want to be associated with vain image obsessed idiots. I don't think I'd be anything like them even if I had a great head of hair, but I can say that I do think hair loss has made me much less critical of people's appearance. It sucks to hear that even older people give an adult male stick for hair loss, it certainly doesn't seem like they do so much here in Britain.

Man I'm not really surprised by that post. Like someone said earlier we are biologically attracted to certain features and it's just stronger for some people than others. Personally, I don't find overweight chicks attractive but does that make me a really shallow person? It's just not my thing, just how bald men isn't that chicks thing and unfortunately she obviously got married way too young and lust > love in her scenario. I know women on the other end of the spectrum who love skinhead men more than men with hair, it's all relative. I wouldn't care too much about that, humans have proven to be shallow race a long time ago in my opinion, you just got to work with it and compromise and find a woman who'll appreciate all the other things going for you rather than focus on the things that aren't going right for you/her i.e baldness.

Because I'm trained to notice these things. I'm unusually perceptive. I'm sure people look at your friend the same way, he just either consciously chooses to ignore it or he honestly doesn't pay much attention to his surroundings. People might call me paranoid, but that is just a negative way of saying that I'm very aware.

It is not biologically conditioned, rather it is socially conditioned. Your dislike for overweight women is not embedded in your genes -it is what society has brainwashed you to believe. Just like how society has placed a premium on looking young, consequently de-valuing (amongst others) the bald. When a woman says she doesn't prefer bald men, her preference is informed by social/cultural conditioning. It is the nurture, not the nature that is the problem here.

nope, overweight = unhealthy.

bald = sh*t genes. Why would you procreate with someone who has sh*t genes and have kids who will most likely go bald too.... If I was a woman, I wouldn't date bald men either...

Since when, The Biggest Loser show aired? Please, can't you see that this is just another ploy to get people to conform to a more socially acceptable body image? During the rennaisance (sp) being overweight was considered the perfect picture of health. AGAIN, proof of social conditioning based on the ideal of the times.

While that argument is based in nature (biology) it is flawed. Where is the scientific proof that someone who manifests the bald gene is directly correlated to having poor health? Bald athletes might disagree. Overweight men with great hair and heart conditions might disagree. If a woman doesn't want to have bald kids(granted they are otherwise healthy), that is still a tribute to social conditioning and nothing else.[/quote:37m9kkv8]

I didn't say that BALD people look unhealthy... It's just that they look ugly and old to me and that's just my opinion... I'm sure many women think that way too.

no it's not... It's science. There is a 50% chance that my kids would inherit hair from their father so I wouldn't want them to end up bald in their 20's....
Women are programmed to look for a best possible mate with the best possible genes. That's just how it is. Get over it.

Do you think that women look at Jason Statham and Vin Diesel and see 5hit genes?

Stephen Hawkin has a full head of hair I suppose his genes must be better?

Maybe morbidly obese people face serious health problems but there are plenty of those who society deems overweight that are perfectly healthy. It's just a cosmetic issue. Just like baldness is JUST a cosmetic issue.

It's not just your opinion, it's that of societies... you are just another channel for the status quo, as are the many women you mentioned.

No, you are using a scientific excuse to explain or worse, justify a socially conditioned prejudice. Potential mothers don't want bald kids for the same reason you don't like bald men- the way it makes them look. AGAIN, only a cosmetic issue.

lol but bald people DO look old.... I'm sure there are studies where they showed pictures of people with hair and without hair and then someone tried to guess their age and the age of a bald guy always came up higher than his actual age.

There is no one who improved his appearance by going bald. NO ONE.
I'm not saying that once you go bald it's completely hopeless, but at the very least your looks have been downgraded.
Jason Statham and Vin Diesel would look BETTER with hair. Not saying that they look ugly now, but with hair they would look BETTER.

I wouldn't want ugly kids... sorry. Oh, and male pattern baldness has been linked with other diseases so I'm sure that some women are biologically turned off by bald men.
