You guys seriously need to focus on life instead of being whiny about mbp

Hello fellow baldness affected people

I´ve been monitoring this forum since I´ve discovered my mbp with 18 years, and it has been a help, I started treatment( propecia and minoxidil) thanks to you guys

But what I also realised is that a lot of you guys seem to only focus on hairloss, make it the center of your lifes and let it eat up all your confidence, when, as a matter of fact, the loss of confidence is actually the biggest problem that comes with mbp.

Seriously guy, I´ve seen tons of people with mbp, many of them very young, and some of them most likely with worse hairloss than you, the guy who is reading this right now, the worst case being a norwood 6 at the age of 21.

And I also watched some of those guys live a great life, with great friends and hot girlfriends. And, well, other whith a sh*t live.

And there was always one important difference between those two groups: the guys with the good live didn´t seem to care about mbp, they seemd confident, had a positive attitude most of the time a cheeky smile and seemd like they knew what their doing, typical alpha males

And than there was the other group, self-conscious as f*ck, and you saw it as soon as you looked at them

They felt bad about themselfes, were always aking the question "why me?" and blamed everything bad in their life, every girl who turned them down and every person who treated them badly on mbp

Again, the difference between thos people wasn´t the male pattern baldness, it was the way they decided to deal with it: Some decided to not give a sh*t, move on with their lifes and be self confident, and the other ones decided to whine, to blame everything bad on their condition and to let themselfs be limited by their hairloss

Not exactly aplpha male behavior, don´t you think?

And, lets face it: Looks don´t matter as much as everyone thinks, especially if you´re male

Seriously guys, I´ve seen tons of ugly guys getting hot girls, same story as with the ones with mbp: Those guys were always the confident ones, the alpha males

And I´m not saying that its easy to deal with mbp that way, it´s hard as sh*t actually

But it´s definetly the better way to just not give a f*ck, develop some confidence, and move on with your life

I myself will do eerything to keep my hair as long as possible, but with the options we have right now, this doesn´t seem possible

And when the day comes where I give in to hairloss, which won´t be to long looking at my norwood 3 at age 20, I will at least try to do it with some proud, and do my best to not become one of those whiny guys who just pity themselfes.. and you should think about that too

Cheers

Hair loss is no big deal. All we have to do is shave our head, hit the gym and get big. Problem solved.

I don't necessarily disagree with your perspective or attitude, but personality types( some what like hair loss) is really something we can not completely change. If someone is not a naturally predisposed alpha male, of course they can try to mimic their preconceived ideas of what it means to be one, but in summary(like concealers, wigs, etc.,) it's still one more external pretense in the ever revolving pantomime of life. Keep positive. Thanx for sharing

Awww so cute! The typical NW3 talking about how confidence is everything, and how not caring about your hairloss gets you hot girlfriends! We've all been there, but trust me, keep taking the medicine and pray to all the gods in the Olympus that your hair loss stops.

Also, most of us don't whine. We live in a positive way, work out, and do a great amount of things to become better every day. But we are realistic, just like you know you can't fly, we know that an average Joe NW5 can't just date a hot, not weird, not in any strange fetish young 23 year old. Of course, there are exceptions, but those are very unlikely occurrences.

I used to think like you, especially because I never had any problems whatsoever dating the most attractive girls. And I mean really hot women; 3 years ago I dated the type of girls that when you enter a place with them you can sense the silence in the room as everyone turns around to look. That was the norm for me, so I thought: "hairloss... who cares, whatever. It's just confidence". Well, sadly it doesn't work that way. Believe me, you need to be a bit obsessed about this, and not give up.

Thats true, we can not completely change our personality, but we can change our attitude. Realising is that it´s not the baldness but our non-alpha male behaviour that is holding us back in life is the first step, because than you can actually do something.

Of course not everyone can be an alpha male, but confidence, even just a little more, makes a difference.

But the man with the mask of being alpha is treated like an alpha... as long as it is a good mask

As I said, I´ve seen too many bald/ugly guys get hot girls to not believe in this. And most of them were neither rich nor bodybuilders.

And even if it was like you are saying, you would most definetly still get hotter girls, in your scenario probably no breathtaking 9s and 10s, but some cute 7s and 8s, and live a better life when you build up confidence

I think even you guys who think that I´m a naive moron can agree that living life with confidence is always better

understand when a bald guy gets a hot girl, its HIS WIFE!
Its not his girl of the week, its not his fling, its not his one night fun gun stand.
ITS HIS WIFE! Its his desperate last grab to lock down something. Anyone can land an attractive "wife", this I beleive. Wife type girls have a different personality. They are like girls I would date in the day who think life ends at 25 and they NEED to pop out a kid before 30 or their eggs dry up and they are done. They pretty much think their life is being a wife and mom and need to lock something down and good looking guys wont budge on that, so they opt to settle with a bald guy who is needy.
But honestly thats not what most guys in their 20-30s are looking for. They want to meet and greet, have fun and live a little. I do.
I really have zero desire for marriage. I liked my days of being able to pick up females and have fun. Most of the good looking ones with my attitude want an equally good looking man. If you're bald YOU BETTER be 6'-3" and JACKED!
I am 5-9, 5-10 on a GOOD DAY.
those who think NW3 is better than NW5.... okay you beleive that. All women see if that ANYTHING NW2.5 is GOING TO BE norwood 7 and you are automatically out of the running. Trust me when I say we will BOTH we the guys in the bar at last call deciding if we are feeling desperate and experimental and going home with EACH OTHER.

The worst now is when a girl openly says to me how good looking my brother is, because its basically saying I look like a troll.
Even worse now is when I get "thats YOUR brother"
I never got those comments with hair, it was always "you guys are so good looking"

I might as well shrivel and die and except the fact I have been genetically pre determined to only DESERVE desperate fat girls or cave and be that guy who now has to LOCK something down, like my idiot pops did... I mean that worked for him right? Oh wait hes a 60 year old alone loser.

Swingline, I think you need to accept for your own mental well-beng if anything, that in your 30s, you are in the minority, not the majority, when it comes to men wanting to be single and not start a family. You come across like a 21year old spornosexual male trapped in a 32year olds body. Every guy wants to have fun in his 20s sure, but when it gets to late 20s, early 30s they started looking for a wife or partner... that is if they ever want to have kids and start a family.Y ou can't start knocking them out in your late 30s/early 40s, that's putting a kid's genetics and health at unneccesary risk, which is why most people do the normal thing and have kids early 30s/late20s.

Also, not every hot girl who settles down in their early 20s wants to start knocking out kids at the earliest possible opportunity. I've been with my girl since she was 19 and she has zero interest in having kids until she's at least 30 when her career will be in a better place. Being in a long term relationship doesn't neccissitate knocking a few kids out and not every girl in their early 20s has to either be a drunken, hoboslut who sleeps with hundreds of guys or some needy wife who settles down at 23 and has 3 kids by age 30, there are some women out there who are perfectly ordinary and reasonably rational ya know.

You are completely wrong on ALL accounts of your response.
I never want marriage or kids. Its not my personal goal. I really do not like children nor do I like the thought of marriage.
Secondly its not a 20 year old mind set. I have always had a mature mind set, very goal oriented and responsible. I lived on my own at a young age, put myself through school and maintained a healthy lifestyle. My choice in relationship style is just my own from my own life experiences and views.
Third yes YOU CAN "knock them out" if you have it. MY brother is TWO years younger than I with a perfect NW1 head. He just finished ating a 19 year old. He picks up 20 year old girls all the time. I have nothing wrong with long relationships, I "wasted" most of my time in them, now not excluding. BUT I beleive with the time I put in to fitness and having a decent body I deserve the same. Unfortunately the females who feel like I do want a guy with a head of hair like my brother NOT ME. So genetically I am predisposed to only deserve sub par mentally unstable women.
Minority or Majority is irrelevant. I live and see both sides of the coin now. I see what life can be like with a good head of hair still in your 30s. Its practically rubbed into my face like sheet every time I talk to my brother who lives with his GF and still picks up a new girl all the time like I "used to be able to". He is not confident, not mitivated, an awful talker and by no means charming, he just has good hair.
I will not be forced into that awful desperate mind set guy fall into of "OMG I need a wife" just because I am now unattractive. My brother, and even orginally my sister, felt the same way I do. My brother will also never marry or have children. The difference is he gets that luxury, where I am daily kicked in the nuts.
Here in the US my mindset is actually becoming more and more prevalent whether you believe it or not. As more and more people wake up and more women become independent most ARE NOT looking for marriage or kids. Read the stats, every year it grows and in a decade or two I will be the equal if not majority.
Honestly this country needs more people with my mind set minus the crippling depression I inherited from my idiot pops.

I read threads like these and I really feel sorry for you guys. I see a lot of egos hurt. But you guys have to realize something. Many things great in life come with a "price". You all want relationships but do you realize the hard work you have to put into it. You think women are here to serve you just because you may be the "bread winner" of the relationship. All of you men who "seem" to have given up on life or YOURSELF because of something you cannot control are letting women take all your power away from you and making you feel worthless. None of you guys are worthless. You all have a lot to offer to life. You think marriage or a relationship is the holy grail? If it were, why is divorce rate so high. The problem we all have is we always think the grass is always greener somewhere else.

We all love to compare our physical traits with others. However, when you compare you will be filled with despair. For instance, Swingline, you have a "buffed body" that most skinny guys who are hardgainers envy. Even guys with better hair than you would be envious. You on the other hand are envious of those who are around your age and have great hair and may be out of shape or really skinny and wish they had your build. We all have an envious nature to us. I have great hair for my age, but I got a lot of other flaws that bother me so much it makes me sick. And then I ask myself why and for what and who?

If you are really interested in someone than go for it. If you get rejected, then keep trying. And let me tell you, hot women come with a price just like anything else. They are high maintenance. Actually, most women are high maintenance and that is why most of them will not even consider you with or without hair unless you make enough MONEY to support their budget of keeping them looking young and beautiful for you. If they pop out some kids for you, then just remember, you go to the back burner and those kids are first priority. Not only that but once she gets her kids, her weight and looks sometimes become of no concern to her anymore. Hence, many mothers let themselves go once those kids arrive. If this sounds it might be for you, then go for it. And if you fail to comply with your duties as the father like giving her a lot of your earnings for the kids and her, or you start to revert back to your independent days, you are in going to hear about it. And in the heat of the argument, she may use your bald head as an excuse as to why your behavior has changed all of sudden. Is this what you all think a full head of hair will buy? Do you really want this? I have seen this happen in real life many many times.

For you guys on here who are not ready for marriage or a relationship, then what is stopping you from going to the local bar, with a hat if you need to, and get some hot looking girl wasted and take her home with you. If she happens to be an alcoholic, sex addict, or heavy drug abuser, you are really lucky as all you have to do is supply her with her addictions and she's yours. Hair or no hair, you get sex. You just have to continue to give to her addictions. And if not into that, then hire an escort or go to those dating sites that guarantee you a hot date and you get to name your price.

If you noticed, most of what I was saying requires MONEY. If you have given up on life, you can't make money. If you let your hair run your life, you can't make money. Money=Power. With money you can buy hair. For some of you Hair=Power=Happily ever after. I understand balding does make it harder to live your life to the fullest but at least go out there and make lots of money so you can buy some happiness for yourself. Our society leaches off each other and you need money to be in the game. Just think, if you become a Bill Gates, Steve Jobs,or a Facebook billionaire, you can find the cure for baldness for us. I admire Fred as he is doing something with his life and getting a college education so he can make some MONEY. He is not looking for a serious relationship at the moment and having fun with his life. If anything, learn from Fred. He should be your role model. And for you older men, focus on your career or advancing in your career, as you need lots of money to buy you some happiness. Who said money can't buy you happiness? Totally disagree. Now get out there and make some money and replace your habit of counting hairs with counting your money.

I'm not going to reward some used up woman in her late 30's who wanted to sl*t it up and to be a workaholic way past her prime.

Amen to that.

Also, no woman is rational, women are by definition driven and controlled by their emotions. If it feels good, then it must be right for them.

I agree, but some are a lot more rational or less crazy than others. It's also essential for the man to set strict boundaries, so the girl knows her tantrums and over-emotional behaviour won't be tolerated. My girl knows that I would happily discard her in the morning and enjoy being single again, if ever she began throwing hissyfits, tantrums and got way over emotional about things, I simply wouldn't tolerate it, she knows this, which is why she stays in line. She also sees other girls her age now, who've been single for years having so much "fun" and "great times", washed up, humped and dumped, alone, no self respecting guy is interested in them... and she realises how lucky she is to have a serious partner for life.

The problem is waaaaay too many young guys (nw1s as well as bald/balding guys) are happy to tolerate emptional behaviour from irrational women and settle down with these girls who dictate terms to them, simply because it's the easiest option and the guys too fvcking lazy to go out there and try again for something better.

I have one nw1 friend, decent looking, taller than me, much better job with better salary who used to sit around his house every weekend watching tv and playing xbox and hence hardly ever met many girls, still though he would enjoy socialising with the guys and having a few beers, he just wasn't that experienced when it came to women and wouldn't ever go out of his way to meet them... Then one day he meets this eastern european girl at a party, who happens to also be an illegal immigrant and has no job..... 9 months later they're getting married would you believe.... he's also converted to Islam just to please her and now abstains 100% from alcohol and pork.

This is what I mean girls will dictate terms and behave in any way they like, if naive, inexperienced and needy guys, stupidly allow them to get away with it, boundaries are absolutely key for any guy, hair or no hair.

We need more people with that mindset? As if there weren't enough people (mostly women) who only want to have fun all their life without the responsibility of raising a family.

If people (in the West) stop building families and having kids, what do you think is going to happen? Exactly, it's the end of our civilization.

OMG THE END OF TIMES!
there will be plenty of people who still wants kids but in the west most people should be stopping at ONE. We have an overpopulation problem here NO ONE is addressing.
Also YES if more people thought like me and waited before making the decision of marriage and kids we would have more stable families, more financially upper class families, better role models for the kids since they would ACTUALLY have some friggin life lessons besides high school to teach. Its a shame I had no actual role models or way showers in my life. I made many of my own decision that cost me time and money. Now imagine if I had a kids 10 or even 5 years ago?
My mentality has to be beaten into the youth of today but in actuality my country has the laden dream of simply becoming a military for hire and we cant do that with out TONS of uneducated and unneeded/expendable young men to send into battle.
Look at your countries. You offer free schooling, decent healthcare, more structured families. You offer reasons for people to further themselves. My country expects you to take out loans to in debt yourself to others and basically become legally bonded slave labor.
Again this would go int politics.
Fred I am not wrong on this, Im a big man and can say when Im wrong but Im not. We are in different worlds. Also again didnt I STATE
"I have always had a mature mind set, very goal oriented and responsible. I lived on my own at a young age, put myself through school and maintained a healthy lifestyle"
Where did I EVER say I was a only based in having fun? I dont think I ever did.

For YOU to also say YOU want to go out with women and have your choices but you wont "
reward some used up woman in her late 30's who wanted to sl*t it up and to be a workaholic way past her prime" is VERY hypocritical. 30 is NOT past a prime. Its honestly just reach prime life. Its when you finally screwed up in your twenties and HAVE some experience to teach, for both men AND women.
Whats wrong with a woman who has had some life experiences, decided what she is REALLY looking for and has a career? To me you want an indentured woman not a partner. You want to be a wh*** but wont take a wh***?
Some of my best female friends and even GF's were w****s just like me.

seriously when my podcast gets rolling I would love to have you skype in some time in the future. We can convo about relationships, politics on our countries and baldness.

This is what I mean girls will dictate terms and behave in any way they like, if naive, inexperienced and needy guys, stupidly allow them to get away with it, boundaries are absolutely key for any guy, hair or no hair.

simply sounds like your friend never established a personality in his life. some people are like that and then latch to the first thing that comes along. this is how cults grow.

I don't mean this to be rude but my question simply is: it seems like you don't mind your hair loss to a big degree, so why are you on this forum, only to give advice to newbies?

Swingline, I understand your points and agree with some of them but I am unclear on something. What is it exactly that you want? Hair obviously but what do you want to do with it? Just be pursued by young women? Beat your brother? I'm not being an ***, just curious.
