You are 27 and have very good hair, I would say no signs of male pattern baldness, just a matured hairline.
Just reassess every three months or so, but for now I personally don't recommend using finasteride.
Lol who performed the FUE? His neighbour or his wife? Or that must be the worst doctor out there.
My FUE looks invisible, no scarring to see with the bare eye. Even when hair is clipped very short (1700 grafts).
Theoretically you should be fine using it every 2 days, however it will take much longer for DHT to be reduced and therefore two months is way to early to see any changes.
Also I heard that taking it every day keeps your hormone levels more stable and its an easier routine (just pop the pill...
I do not think you have to stress about it. Keep in mind that losing around 100 hairs a day is completely normal!
When I see my girlfriend comb out her hair after a shower I at least see 10-20 hairs every time (it even looks like more because of the long hairs). Counting hairs is the worst...
So if you don't have any major loss atm and loss is 'just kicking in', I would suggest you go straight to finasteride and skip minoxidil.
There will be a big change that you can halt hairloss in this early stage completely. For the dose it doesn't really matter a lot (0.25 vs 0.5 vs 1mg), just...
Really hard to say, I always hear people saying from your mothers side.
However, it can be a complete mix, or just only from one side. Or something total different caused by recombination or mutations. Who knows..
I consider myself living a very healthy lifestyle: no smoking, drinking only 2-4 glasses a month, going to work by bike every day (50 min of cycling a day), hitting the gym 3 times a week, eating tons of veggies and fruits. Avoiding soda drinks and many artificial food products. Have been living...
Lol, lost the war...what a BS. You are only six months on finasteride, at least stick to it for a year. You might be in a shed right now and new hairs will come back stronger.
Oh and don't bother expensive shampoos, waste of money. Just add nizarol once a week.
Shedding of hairs is not really something to worry about if you don't see any cosmetic differences. I have been on the big3 for almost a year now and I had multiple shed periods, and I never seen any significant changes on my head. My hair even thickened up as expected from using the meds even...
I'm on it for almost a year now and I feel perfectly fine, I don't notice any sides whatsoever. Within this year my hair thickened up quite a bit, especially around the hairline. My crown was still fine before treatments, however it seems that it also looks better then before. Maybe its just in...
How long have you been on finasteride? 5 years?
Personally I don't see why you need a stronger regimen, minor loss in 5 years time don't seem like aggressive hairloss to me and you will be fine on your current treatments.
I think you still have a solid hairline and don't need a hair transplant...
I feel the same. I just noticed my hairloss at 24, at that time being as far as a NW2.5. Don't know why I didnt notice it earlier, maybe denial? Maybe the fact that I didnt expect to be balding since there are no balding men in my family. Anyway, I hopped on the big3 immediately and the only...
Lol 5 months? Wait for at least a year to notice any significant change, till then just be happy if your hair loss stops. With the low dose you used in the beginning it just takes a bit longer for DHT levels to decrease. The dose you use won't matter much, according to the dose-response curves...
You are right, this can't be proven indeed.
True, I believe that finasteride is something to be taken serious and the long term effects (10+ or 20+ years of usage) are still unknown. Research should be done on long time users and see if they can correlate long term usage with neurological...
