Diffuse balding is not male pattern baldness

return, I think you make some very valid points. I agree that there are no experts on hairloss, so we have to question everything and accept that we often don't know the answer. I am also a diffuse thinner. I'm 29 and I have noticed my hair thinning for the past 5 years. I tried...

Getting a hair transplant and Continue Shaving Head?

I'm in the same boat as you, Odelay. I keep it buzzed very short, and it looks like I have hair despite the fact that it's very thin. If I let it grow out, it would look horrible. My temples have also receded, but I'd be happy just keeping what I have. It seems unlikely though, and I think...

Struggling to find a hair style....

Buzz it. It was the best decision I ever made as far as hairloss.

Is all this really even worth it?

Met76, I agree with you. I personally don't think all this obsession over hairloss is worth it. I don't even visit these boards that much anymore, because I'm just accepting that nature will take its course eventually. I want to enjoy my life to the fullest and I won't let hairloss stop that...

    son of a...

Trent, I've read some of your posts, and you seem like a nice guy. I know how tough this hairloss dilemma can be. I used to go through phases of depression just like you. I woke up feeling unhappy and not looking forward to the day. I didn't even want to get out of bed sometimes. But I'm...

    Religion and Balding?

Guest, thanks for restoring my faith that at least some people question the traditional, systematic nonsense of organized religion. Scuffernose, I feel bad for you. It's mentalities like yours that are causing so many problems in the world. So if there is only one 'path' to truth...

Decided to accept balding...LIFE MUST GO ON. (long post)

Couldn't agree with you more. I shaved my head and accepted that I will eventually be bald anyway, so why spend every day worrying about it? There are enough real problems that I could dedicate my time and energy towards. Hairloss sucks and I hate it, but it's not going to control my life.

A great article everyone should read

Great article. I definitely agree with most of it, aside from getting a hospital job to meet women. I don't know why, but for the past couple of weeks I've had some great luck with women. I'm a pretty soft-spoken person in general, so I'm not the kind of guy to hit on women in bars very...

    Religion and Balding?

Are you sure we're talking about the same philosopher? One of his core ideas is that "truth is a pathless land." This is why he was against organized religions, as they attempt to organize something which is limitless, fluid, and alive. Once you do that, it becomes conditioned by the biases...

Decided to accept balding...LIFE MUST GO ON. (long post)

80s revival, you make some excellent points. I've been thinking a lot about this stuff myself. These regimens really can take over your life. The best thing by far I've done for my hairloss battle is buzzing my hair down to a #1 setting. I still think about my hairloss, but not nearly as...

    Religion and Balding?

Haven't read anything by him, but I will check it out. Gardener, I agree with you that this is indeed attributable to an inherent weakness in humans. I am not against Christianity on its own, but all forms of authoritative, organized thought and beliefs. People look to leaders, whether...

    Religion and Balding?

Yes, this thread probably has gotten out of hand. But for what it's worth, I'm glad there are a few people on this board who at least question the core concepts of religion. It gives me hope that there are some truly 'free' thinkers out there, who are not attached to beliefs and question...

    Religion and Balding?

You're absolutely right guest. Religion is the most selfish of human concepts. When someone says they are a Christian, Jew, Hindu, Muslim, American, Englishman, or anything else, they are breeding violence. It is violent because it separates that person from the rest of mankind. Someone...

    Religion and Balding?

I apologize if this is a long post, but I just wanted to reply to some comments. Why is Christianity or Catholicism any more "true" than the other religions? You are accepting what someone has told you without thinking for yourself. Why is the Bible such an authority? It was written by men...
