Best of luck with your progress. As I’ve previously said before, I completely believe you when you say just shortly after taking finasteride it destroyed your hair.
I was on it for about 5 weeks when I noticed my hair receding at a quicker rate! Some people it just don’t work on. To be fair though, I...
I think I’m gonna ride it out for another couple of months, if I see maintenance or regrowth I’ll stay on the drug for a while. If not then a hair transplants is the way to go.
I’ve spoken to multiple doctors who have advised me that my donor area is strong and that id be an ideal candidate...
We’re in a similar situation tbf mate. You could consider a hair transplant to fill the corners in, 2000 grafts would cover it. In the uk maybe 6-7k however in turkey £2000 all included I’m going there soon
Hi guys,
I am currently 2 months into finasteride and I have seen no progress at all. In fact, the hair loss has sped up around the temple area. The crown area seems to be exactly the same.
I started finasteride to try and maintain the temple area as I know regrowth would have pretty slim...
Try finasteride for a year see how you get on if that is no good, then you should consider getting a hair transplant, ignore the people saying your donor area is not that good I think it’s fine you’ll be alright
My hair was like this about a year ago and has receding quite a bit since. It’s so frustrating my hair was thick and black now it’s whispy and more receded. Keep watching it over the next few months and if it gets worse you can consider finasteride
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I guess finasteride is a lifetime commitment. I think I’ll see how I get on in the next few months on finasteride then consider the hair transplant towards the end of the year
Started finasteride 3 weeks ago and my hair used to be quite thick. The main reason I started was to try and keep my hairline intact until I eventually get a hair transplant lol. Seems like the finasteride has made my hair go whispy and thin too
Hi guys, 22 year old experiencing hairloss around the hairline only. I am currently taking finasteride 1mg since the 20th Feb. Almost 1 month on the meds no side effects at all.
In terms of results, my overall hair seems to have got slightly thinner; but the main question is, do I stop...
Hi guys, I’ve been on generic finasteride for 10 days. Ive had no side effects at all apart from my hair is getting whispy and thinner around the hairline? Is this a side effect that occurs
Other than this, no sides at all
Thanks for the response, I understand that it was going to progress but didn’t think it would progress so rapidly as I pay attention to it daily, it’s like an OCD lol. I only want to be on it for 10 months until I go forward with a hair transplant
