I make my own 3% spironolactone cream and it doesn't smell. It's more stable in a neutral ph cream vehicle than an alcohol based vehicle. I have my head shaved which makes the cream easy to apply in a thin layer 2-3 times daily. I apply it after a minoxidil application.
I've been using retin a .05 for some time with success. I use it everyday. If my scalp gets irritated or starts to peel, I back off for a couple of days, then resume it. I apply it at night about 15 minutes before a minoxidil application. I hope this helps.
I've had success applying retin a, waiting 15 minutes, then applying minoxidil, letting that dry for a bit, followed by topical spironolactone. Later in the evening, I then massage my scalp with emu oil. It is better to apply retin a at night since it is sensitive to light.
I just bought a stock hair piece from toplace. I have to cut down the base so it fits my template. Can anyone tell me the best way to resize a base so I won't damage it?
Thanks
