I heard you should use it twice a day for a year, that way you get maximum regrowth. After that only once a day, to help "maintain" your hairline (in addition to your anti-DHT regimen of choice, I use topical spironolactone and Nizoral shampoo.)

Then don't use finasteride. Use Nizoral shampoo and Topical Spironolactone cream as your anti-DHT, and Minoxidil for regrowth. Studies show that the topical formulations do NOT affect hormone levels in the rest of your body, only in your scalp.
