Sure buddy. :)
I've only been using S5 cream for around half a year (some users here like rcom440 have used it for 4+ years and reported great results), so personally I feel it is a good addition. I realize that Nizoral shampoo has anti-DHT properties, however I felt that alone was not enough...
I use S5 cream as well. Just a thin layer on my front hairline, twice a day.
Though don't expect miracle regrowth like you can get with Minoxidil and Finasteride, it's more for long-term maintenance. With emphasis on "long term", since even Finasteride can work for up to 10-15 years.

Aren't studies a type of evidence? If they are performed in a controlled manner.
Keto does have effects (anti-androgen and anti-sebum) that logically would be beneficial when fighting against male pattern baldness.
Minoxidil doesn't really lose effectiveness in that way.
The problem is that it doesn't treat the underlying "cause" of male pattern baldness, which is DHT destroying hair follicles. Minoxidil is just a growth stimulant.
You need something that is anti-DHT as well.
The best option is Finasteride, which...
What sides do you think you have?
A lot of the side effects that people list, I got those side effects before I even started any regimen.
Much of it is just the natural aging process. :)
After starting my regimen, I haven't had any sides at all. The sides that other people list are often the...
I heard you should use it twice a day for a year, that way you get maximum regrowth.
After that only once a day, to help "maintain" your hairline (in addition to your anti-DHT regimen of choice, I use topical spironolactone and Nizoral shampoo.)
What I do is wash my hair with normal shampoo first.
Then rub the Nizoral shampoo into your scalp (don't need much) until you get a nice foam, and leave it like that for around 5 minutes. After this period the Nizoral should already be absorbed into the scalp skin.
After that, I put the...
Then don't use finasteride.
Use Nizoral shampoo and Topical Spironolactone cream as your anti-DHT, and Minoxidil for regrowth.
Studies show that the topical formulations do NOT affect hormone levels in the rest of your body, only in your scalp.
