Despite lots of talk on both sides the Mother's-side contribution to hairloss or not is not proven. What amazes me is how much my adult male offspring take their hair for granted. They could pull off any style you see "super heads" with but to them, meh, just get a haircut. I guess you don't know what you have until you don't have it! They lucked out in the looks department too. Again, Mom.
And how bald are you? Do you have hair on the crown area?

Typical ring around the sides, very thin, diffuse tuft on front, some very sparse hair, hardly noticable in crown. Screams grandpa.

If that crown stays covered in the older relatives, it's good news. Now I'm curious to see if my two year old grandson will have hair when he's thirty. I'll only be 96 then. Fortunately his mother's father is a fifty-something with teenager hair. Standby, I'll let you know.

It appears that nobody here has actually answered the poor lad's question.

Does Someone Think That Cure Will Never Be Invented

Does anyone think that there will never be a cure because there is much products on the market and they would all go broke if someone invents a cure?

>Does someone think a cure will never be invented?
>Does anyone think that there will never be a cure?
>someone
>anyone

My boy, to find the answer to that question, you must look within yourself....

They will likely find a legit treatment for hearing loss, too. I mean, who wants nice hair but not be able to hear their admirers say, "Wow! he/she looks rilly ridiculously good looking" ?

As they understand more and more of the cellular genetics and signaling pathways of hair loss, it's a good bet that drugs will one day solve baldness, too. There is so much happening in the field of hair and microbiology in general that it's hard to be anything but hopeful.

Drug treatment could combat hearing loss
Researchers discover a drug combination that can regenerate hair cells in the inner ear.

Each of us is born with about 15,000 hair cells per ear, and once damaged, these cells cannot regrow. However, researchers at MIT, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear have now discovered a combination of drugs that expands the population of progenitor cells (also called supporting cells) in the ear and induces them to become hair cells, offering a potential new way to treat hearing loss.

They will even be able to re-grow hairs in our inner ears! :)

I doubt we will ever see any permanent solution to the problem outside of surgery... But I'm hoping.
