Talking about blood tests: What are the relevant levels I would need to test and should these levels be in the female range for more hair growth? In an adult male, what are some good clues to look for to figure out what to adjust? How long do you wait between each blood test? 3 months? 6 months?

When adding estrogen in combination with bica, do you directly jump to high dosage then dial down on the quantity or do you go from low to high? Is there a risk to start too high because dosage then it can't lowered or it doesn't matter and the change becomes instantaneous?
Levels should be around 200pg/ml of E if you are targeting female range. Initially I was getting blood tests every 3 months, but now its probably more like 5 months to make sure levels remain in target area.

Ramp up dosage over time. Don't start high. Helps to mitigate side effects.

Also be very aware of what you are in store for, especially if you plan to use estrogen (assuming you are not already on it). You likely will get gyno and start to look more androgynous over time. Gaining and keeping muscle will be more difficult. Not to mention there's the possibility of being infertile if on E long enough (though you can always store sperm first if that's a concern).

Essentially if you relish your masculinity then enter at your own risk. But if growing some boobs doesn't bother you then go for it.

I noticed one thing. In addition to oral estradiol, I smear the whole head where the hair is with estrogel. it speeds up hair growth. but a lot of estrogel leaves.

its a complicated subject, so the consensus has gotten updated throughout. Plus members have disagreements.

currently I believe taking bica, estradiol and dutasteride is the strongest anti-androgenic regimen.
bica stronger than CPA?

When dutasteride is used in time, can it work to maintain hair or does it only slow the loss?

For most people, according to studies, it should maintain with the possibility of minor regrowth. Some people are far more sensitive to androgens, however, and dutasteride isn't enough. But hopefully you are in the former category.

I read (probably on this thread) that progesterone (oral or gel) can't be used when taking bica. Why could that be?

theres no point because you are already inhibiting 100% of ar signaling with 50mg if ur on E.

remember 1mg of bica blocks 10ng/dl of T and Ikarus uses Bica and Estrogen at 2mg, his T was 160ng/dl.

so a dose higher than 16mg will not be more effective, your AR is already blocked 100%, you just need to wait longer for results, I use 150mg because my T was 1488ng/dl on the blood test last month

You are only on bica and dutasteride right ? No minoxidil

Do you think that with dutasteride I will keep this hair? there seems to be a lot but with wet hair you can see the scalp

I know this isn't transgender forum, but how can i get back my fat redistribution, since i stopped progesterone, i've lost all my weight that i gained in the lower half of my body, and i can't take progesterone with bicalutamide, but bicalutamide is growing my hair, im trying to figure out how to get my weight back because my body is reverting back to male physique but the boobs are staying, i want my fem figure back lol.
Have you gotten your levels checked? If so, what's your E and T? I know bica is sometimes prescribed by doctors for mtf regimens so it shouldn't make you completely revert. Not to mention it's associated with the highest gyno levels of any AA so I would think it would be similar for other fat redistribution.

I have another test coming up in 2 weeks, i'll let you know. My boobs are getting big asf lol, but i lost my *** and thighs and some arm fat, i was really enjoying that, Maybe it's because my appetite tanked when i quit progesterone, i'm back to only eating 1 time a day because im not hungry so that could be it.
I do know that progesterone is specifically associated with weight gain, so that likely is the culprit. Just add in some more calories and the E should make them go to your ***.

I'm really tempted to just take progesterone again, but when i take it with bicalutamide my skin gets super oily and i get acne, and i get headaches that feel like a knife stabbing me, sigh.
Oh damn that's a bummer. Was planning to get progesterone and bica at my next end appointment. But def don't want oily skin and acne again, as good skin has been one of my favorite effects of hrt.
