Maybe i'll just get an orchiectomy and live as MTF. That sounds better than ending it.
Nah. We already have enough members.

Just be you and stay the course. You know HRT isn't associated with hair loss so unless it's an adrenal DHT issue then you should continue to improve but EK and I were both talking about how we now think that Dutasteride needs to always be a part of a hair loss regimen regardless. But lately, I have been thinking that maybe estrogel on the scalp might prevent the follicles from synthesizing DHT. Bridge and I have always used it on our scalps.

To me, ceteris paribus we want to use established successful protocols but you might also want to titrate upward your estrogen. If you absolutely can't get estrogen anymore then yes, I would consider the big 4 AA's, Provera, CPA, Bica but not probably not spironolactone. I just can't recommend that one. I think you are using bica so maybe temporarily increase dosage and then add more estrogen when you can.

Flutamide is much worse for the liver, Almas, than bica. You've already picked the best and most tested of the 'mides that don't cost like a million dollars to use but Tato's an expert so....
I know I'm just wondering what dose helped him. I can convert a dose of Flutamide to a dose of Bicalutamide

Ikarus was clearly balding, Ein never had AA just telogen effluvium, and DHTcel literally called himself genetic defect multiple times and had no visible balding to anyone but himself.
Tho Ein had Androgenetic Alopecia, but not in the common pattern. He had slight diffuse thinning. Androgenetic Alopecia runs in his family history, same for DHTcel, they took action faster than the (severe) hair loss itself lol.

Side note: Ein induced telogen effluvium for a year because of the treatment.

I love how in this thread someone accused Bridge of perpetuating a huge hoax by inverting his pic selection. Bridge then took a pic of himself with a calendar turned to the date of the pic and the guy finally gave in.

And what about putting more money into SRS research so that MtF's can be more authentically female? That should come before finding a cure for hair loss cause it benefits me more....

It is necessary to treat diseases in the early stages, and not wait for the moment when it becomes even more difficult to cure. I hope people with your logic will not do anything with the oncological tumor and will start treatment at stage 3.

Dude, when you keep comparing it to cancer, I mean, that's bad karma. You should find a better metaphor.

Treatment should be started as early as possible, at the first sign of AA. Only then will you be able to maintain your hairline and hair density without resorting to extreme estrogen regimens.
I wish I had jumped on Bicalutamide a year ago when I was Norwood 0

How long were you on Finasteride only?

Its good to compare it to androgen induced cancer. Like prostate cancer.
No, it isn't and if you think that then you have lost all perspective. What about rampant acne and dermatitis and a whole host of other disfiguring things not linked to just being an adult male.

Just because they are both caused by androgens does not make them in any way comparable.

4 months. At 3 months, I found that my AA was progressing rapidly, and Finasteride couldn't even slow it down. At first I wanted to add Duta, but realized that this would not help me either. I remembered the wise words of Ikarus: "If you go bald before 20, you don't even have to bother with 5AP blockers."

I have had tears in my retina since I was 13 years old, I have undergone many operations and have a risk of going blind in the future. And you know what? Baldness is much worse and worries me much more, because with a weak retina, you can live a long time, preserving your vision, you can somehow control it
In my opinion, baldness is one of the worst things, besides fatal diseases. This is something on a par with disability, because it disfigures you, and ugliness can affect your whole life: work, self-esteem, position in society, relationships - it affects everything.
