I am losing hairs at an unrealistically fast rate. Almost cartoonish. But all blood tests are coming out normal and my derm is saying that it is male pattern baldness without really examining anything. Losing about 500 hairs per day approx.

I posted this pic last week where I cleaned out all the fallen hairs on my hair in the shower to the point where not a single hair would fall off and then took another shower about 6 hours later.

Everyday I am losing the same amount in the showers, and way more than this outside of shower like at work, school on pillows literally anytime I move my head hairs fall off. Went from thick NW1 to diffusing NW6 in 8 months months it doesnt make any sense, I have never seen male pattern baldness go this fast with anyone else.

This is the amount of hairs I lost in shower yesterday and today, less than 24 hours apart.

My scalp is becoming more visible by the day. I dont understand, isnt male pattern baldness something that occurs for years before you go bald. Is there a good chance I have telogen effluvium and not male pattern baldness or is this type of hairloss normal for people who bald agressively. The frustrating thing is that no derm will even consider the fact that it could be something other than male pattern baldness because my dad was NW7 at my age. I think maybe hair transplant clinics are more knowledgeable in this field and am looking to go to one and see if I can get a scalp biopsy done.

Todays addition. What is the world record for fastest time to go from NW1 to NW7... I am 90% sure I am going to beat it.

Not as fast as me. I'd say in the past month and a half I've lost 30% of my hair. It's my whole scalp, violently aggressive hairloss, and no one can figure out why it's happening. It's completely shattered my life.

Propecia helped for 3 days but now it’s back and maybe even worse.

Would trade every single hair on my head to get rid of the itching.... thinking of trying laser hair removal tbh. I shouldn’t have inflammation if I have no follicles right?

I have been on treatments since my hair looked like this in early June. My dad was a NW6 at this exact age im at right now(21). Even with medication I am still losing hair so if it makes you feel any better startinf treatment earlier might not have made a big difference.
