Topical finasteride is available in US
My Dr sells it.
He sells me topical spironolactone.
You guys are funny.
If my Dr sells it i am sure many hair transplant Dr sell it.
His topical finasteride is not Hasson & Wong's though... which is reportedly supposed to reduce sides

Im on topical spironolactone i had sides from oral that made it hard to take without birth control pills..
I have no sides on topical spironolactone.
Cant speak for finasteride but what would be the difference between Hasson and Wong and others? What is the science?

I believe they are using a liposomal delivery vehicle similar to Brotzu. Pretty sure @Swoop discussed the science of this already. The consensus was that if you're a good responder to oral finasteride this might be slightly more effective but if you have sides from finasteride this isn't going to stop that from happening. Maybe Swoop can stop by and confirm this.
Finasteride works by systematically lowering your hormones - I cant see how topical finasteride (even with a liposomal vehicle) wouldn't have the said side effects when the mechanism of action is essentially the same.

spironolactone is an anti androgen, finasteride is a 5AR inhibitor. They're different.
H&W's uses liposomal delivery.

wow thats interesting..
the sides i had on Oral sprio i definitely am not getting on the topical..basically it messed with 'clock' of my cycles.
Im not having this effect.
But my hair is not shedding so for now i am assuming its working/helping.

It shows the treatment results of eight middle aged women with androgenetic alopecia who used the lotion for three months.
The results were graded after 15, 30, 60 and finally 90 days of treatment. They graded the results as one of three responses: no effect, hair loss stopped or new hair growth. The final results were graded as fair, good or excellent. I translated the table as you can see here:
Before and after pictures of two of the subject’s final results after three months were also shown in the article:
This woman, referred to as A.C, was 66 years old and her final result was graded as excellent at the end of the study. There’s also a comment under the picture which says that she had stopped losing hair and had early regrowth of hair.
Interesting that they wrote early regrowth of hair. Was it because they expected it to continue to improve with further treatment?
The other subject, referred to as S.U.S was 55 years old (or 50 as it says in the table). Her final result was graded as ‘good’ at the end of the study.
Personally, I think her result looked even better than the first subject. But maybe it has to do with the way they parted her hair in the before picture.
This study should be proof that the lotion also is effective in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, at least in some individuals.
If it works for you and me we’ll just have to wait and see. But given that it was reported that hair loss stopped in all eight subjects and five out of them were reported to have new hair growth at the end of the study, I believe the chances are good that it will be an effective treatment for a lot of people here too.

Damn I had on idea about that table. That makes me far more optimistic about this lotion, the only thing which annoys me is the horrible quality of those pictures, and the unfair parting.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but s-equol works as topical dht suppresant (5AR) so that would be useless on female Androgenetic Alopecia. So the results should be even better on malesView attachment 45862

never tried finasteride, duta etc. I'm on Keto and minoxidil only, but keto does absolutely nothing. I was wondering if I let's say am not a good responder to keto, would it be the same with finasteride and therefore with s-equol. Damn. I contacted the pharmacy in Italy that dispenses H&WMand they pointed me to a study by University of Milan that claims the sides on their topical are much reduced.
