where are myths or in other words, supernatural stories born? In our dreams, or in our imagination. Where do our dreams come from?

Our imagination also generates p**rn, Breaking Bad type anti-heroes, and other messed up sh*t.

I think you are conflating being a rebound guy with multiple sex partners

Rebound guys are doomed. I think rebound women too.

I LOVED being rebound guy! f*** that, easy sex and NO STRINGS! WOO HOO!

I think this comes from your own personal experiences which I think is highly unusual to have these women say such things comparing you to other men.

You are underscoring it is a personal insecurity based on your personal experience from what they said to you.

If these women Never said this to you you would not feel this way.

I don't think most men are experiencing this UNLESS fighting bad and she just hurls it to be a c***. Like a weapon. I don't think most women do this though that's just ugly behavior.
Especially so casually. I don't think men do this either unless women is frigid or something.
I mean in my mind it's over to say something like this to someone.
When sex with someone has been disappointing I just end it. I don't torment someone or keep trying.

Im sorry to say hairblues but women today are just outright c**** a lot of the time, and it majorly stems from the "you cant hit me Im a woman sh*t" and the VAST amount of white knighting that goes on supporting their "i was right" attitudes. At least in my experiance and in the US (dont know where you live). So I can see this stuff happening to fred if he says it did. Women can/will take a small argument and turn it into a tear down session because legally they feel you cant touch them and they are somehow making up for all the years of being "oppressed", plus they know another guy will step in and console them as right just to tap that box. Not all but A LOT of them.

I personally think we need to go back to the "no bigger than your thumb rule"..... kidding.... maybe......

There have been times where I would have gleefully ran over my own thumb just to wait for the swelling so I coule have picked a bigger stick.

Just legalize prostitution and save the world a LOT of aggravation.

Great post, well thought-out.

I'll just address your last point, it seems we misunderstood each other.

When I say better, I'm not saying "better in bed" or "having a bigger c***".

I just mean better.

In this sense: if you add up all your valuable characteristics that matter when it comes to mating, like height, fitness, looks, intelligence, compatibility, personality, potential, status, bedroom performance (yeah let's throw that in here) etc. Are you better than all her lovers or not?

Every man (and woman) has a value that's externally determined (you can't just think 'I'm great' and bam, people see you as great).

You can place any human being on a hierarchy. Studies have shown that human beings can tell their own value or someone else's value at the drop of a hat, our amygdala sort of has a radar built into it to measure it.

That's also why when a woman snatches a high-value guy, all the inferior guys around her automatically cease to exist. Women can immediately tell you who was their best lover, and with no surprise, they'll often tell you that they still love him and that it will be hard for any man to be better than him.

Above, why do people always assume I'm talking only about sex?!

Better does not (only) mean better in bed for god's sake.

We think about sex because the current conversation was about sex and partner count.
We prob do misunderstand each other, this is the internet and we are probably both having completely separate conversations but our self absorption still makes it pertain to "us".

Yes everything has value, we have value and put value on others. there is no denying that. I only used the c*** size as an arbitrary argument on how one TINY detail (irony) can completely decide if you are a better sex partner or not. It wasnt meant to be a literal thing.

Tormenting someone for repeat failure to stimulate an orgasm is definitely a low blow. (no pun intended)

Because the debate stemmed from the POV of number of sex partners for women and this somehow being related to her character as a woman/partner.
You brought up virgins.
I assumed you meant sex.
Otherwise why bring up virgins?

And to take cheap shots at @hairblues just because she disagrees with you is very petty.

Yeah, you never do that...

I also though agree, white knighting is f*****g queer and any guy doing it online should be kicked in the balls.

It is queer. It's also condascending to whoever's being white-knighted. Basically the beta knight is saying "you can't defend yourself because you're a woman, here, let me support you because I'm a MAN". It's a fuckin' forum where people type text to each other, not a boxing ring. hairblues can stick up for herself without the "you go girl!" type comments (which frankly, are unmanly comments) from blackg. Notice he won't defend a guy in the same way, so it's definitely white-knighting. If a guy thinks a woman can't defend herself in a forum, what does he really think of her? Weaker than the male forum members?

But where did they get the idea to write those texts? Where does speech come from? Why are men telling these stories?

More importantly, why do men want to hear these stories? Why do they follow them and identify with them with such passion?

Why do books/movies like Harry Potter or The Lord of The Rings sell like mad?

Stories which follow mythological/religious structures and archetypes.

Why are people in awe with stories that were "pulled from asses" as you say?

You have one hour.

Humans always worshiped things. This is natural. It was a shared wonderment and vast curiosity.

But from my perspective it's not about the rules written in texts, this to me is ALL men to ensure behavior in society and civilization and like I said put chastity upon women they otherwise could not have (Roman orgies, Sadum and Gamora)

They used people's natural curiosity to have answers to the greatest mystery in life and also to gain some control of behavior.
There is NO way to know over time how much was embellished in original texts of any of these religions. It's not like they scanned originals.

What do I think the worshiping is?
Personally I think the answer is more related to physics, science and also nature than an actual being or 'God'.
The planet birthed us.
We evolved from mud.
i think from a physics sense we also share some kind of vibration when we pray and or meditate with one another.
Certain sounds will soothe our nervous system. Drumming chanting sounds of nature. These things can put you into an almost trance state if you focus enough.
This is not spiritual there is science and biology it.

The written texts are just stories as you said created by myths

The equivalent?
If society has an apocalyptic event and humanity was dormant for 1000 years
Then comic books about the Avengera were found in a burial site...those uneducated men and women would assume that was holy text.

Meh
There is A LOT of posters who stick up for one another whey they agree with a debater.
You got into this debate because you agree with @WhitePolarBear
So what is the difference?
You reallly are the one assigning gender to it.
You yourself had a debate with 3 different guys at same time about the wage gap if I remember your first week here if remeber correctly.

Personally, Bruce Wayne has had more of an impact on me than any religious text. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I think there are some basic moral lessons from religion
BUT I think we are evolving past the tool of religion for the teachings to just have the mortality lessons. We don't need religion to reach unified morality.
Not sure if that makes sense.

Morality cannot exist on its own, what are you going to base it on then, logic?

@CaptainForehead type 'amygdala social value' on Google. Didn't actually verify, trusted Jordan Peterson's word for it. Argument from authority.

You base it on society and modern civilization not a man in the sky.

We can take come of those shared lessons and ideas and teach them to children without the religious text of bible or Koran or whatever.

It's like the kindergarten rules. Don't poke you neighbors, share your toys, etc lessons in empathy

These lessons can be taught to children in a unified organized manner without it being a specified religion.

It is 2017 morality is declining because people have evolved past the myth of a man in the sky,
If we do not find a way to teach morality from a non mythical way we will never reach children of the modern tech age who have evolved past these antiquated notions of Heaven Hell and angels and God haveinf a child with a virgin. Etc

What are you going to tell them? That it's baaad? That's going to work for sure, especially on little kids who are often little monsters.

Worked on me.

My mother told me I would burn in hell if I didn't do those things. And it was bloody efficient.

Easy make them give their favorite toys to charity.
Consequences. Like actual real consequences.
I remember in class at catholic school I was in 1st grade and my teacher was a nun.
I had collected a HUGe stack of Charlie's angels baseball cards (from bubble gum packs)
Took me months to collect these cards
I kept talkin in class to my neighbor.
The nun warned me.
I talked to my friend again.
She made me throw out my stack of cards.
I was devastated.
But I NEVer acted out in class again.
Was not fear of Hell that kept me in line.
Was fear of the Nuns.
