Ran out of ideas! is this really male pattern baldness?

SLD, any effective treatment that you try for your hairloss can produce shedding. This sounds like what you have experienced with what you've tried so far. No, it doesn't sound weird, it just comes with the territory:)

    The best regime out there

frank05, I would be hesitant to say that there is a better regimen out there than any others as each person responds differently to various treatments. It's awesome that you're doing something NOW to combat your male pattern baldness but since you place yourself on the Norwood scale as a 1.5, you've got time on...

male pattern baldness OR SOMETHING ELSE? *PICS*

smudge, this is definitely a case where male pattern baldness is in the eye of the beholder:(

How much should I worry? (Pics Included)

Oh please! Obviously nohairnodandruff, you can't be serious. Melbs, I would say that hairloss in your case is a figment of the mind's eye, no less and no more. If you've got a problem with male pattern baldness then I've got a problem with thick hair :hairy: Well, how I wish that were true:) But...

male pattern baldness OR SOMETHING ELSE? *PICS*

truking10, I seriously think that it's a classic case of Telogen Effluvium...thinning ego :freaked2: Seriously dude, you don't have a problem with male pattern baldness.

Just when I try to forget about balding...

VWdude, wow! I was so close to a celebrity! I live in Western NY so you were'nt that far:) Regarding the lady's statement to you, be thankful that the name of the place wasn't "Hair's Last Stand":)

Tolerance to Propecia after six years. Anyone else?

KipWinger, give people a chance to respond to your questions! I think that in the States we are soooooooooooo spoiled!!! Thankfully, collectively, this discussion forum is made up of folks from all around the globe NOT just from the States 8) Just because you don't get an IMMEDIATE answer to...

    cut my hair ....pics

"But ive seen a specialist at UCLA and he thought i have Telogen Effluvium, then i got a free consltation at a hair transplant place and by using a video microscope, it looked like my hair on the sides was more dense then my top and healthier???" Wow! Let me first say that I'm amazed that the free consultation didn't...

I hate myself because of my hairloss

Eeesh! I hate to say this but hating yourself and hairloss do not necessarily have to go together. Hating yourself is basically shooting yourself in the foot bud. Unless you're wanting sympathy, which I hate to get in the first place, it's a good idea to be good to you. Why let someone...

Recession on the neck and behind the ears?

Hmmmm...member5959, this type of recession does not seem normal. I would expect that the areas that you mention are in the "safe" zone from male pattern baldness. It may be Telogen Effluvium? Who knows? Check with a qualified derm that knows what they're talking about.

    Pill cutter

My take on this, buy a pill cutter at Wal-Mart or other variety store. If you see a pill cutter on one of the pharmacy sites they'll charge an arm and a leg just because it's on their site. Nothing special needed or to guard when making a purchase of something like this. IMO.

    happy friday night

jfhawk06, thanks for the greeting. Since I've got a seven year-old daughter I would have to disagree with you on the "b****s" part. I'll let my morality show through here as I don't see using people as objects to gratify our urges, is a good thing. I'm sure that you didn't mean anything by...
