I use minoxidil orally and also dutasteride. Oral minoxidil has grown hair almost everywhere else (eyelashes, back of my hands, fingers) but I'm not sure if it has grown any on my head. :D Then again I've only been using it for 6 months.
It's impossible to apply minoxidil to crown without making it look horribly thin. I tried it (foam, although I think that liquid is even worse) and have since ditched the foam and started using the stuff orally.
The hairline is definitely receding so if you don't want to go bald then you should start finasteride/dutasteride at least. I have been on finasteride for 4 years and added dutasteride 0.5mg ed a year ago and have never experienced any sides. I've been using minoxidil on my hairline for 13 months and it...
Do you mean 5mg/day? 0,5mg seems very low. And I can't get the tablets anywhere because oral minoxidil isn't even sold in Finland. That's the only reason I'm willing to consider using 4-6 drops of topical minoxidil daily. I heard that 6 drops equals about 9-10mg of minoxidil.
I have been applying it topically to no avail and that's why I'd like to try it orally. Why do you think that for the best results it should be applied topically when everybody says that oral minoxidil is superior to topical one?
I think I start trying this alongside dutasteride. That's because it is impossible to get minoxidil tablets in my country and if I order them online they'll be seized by customs and I get fined (already happened once when I ordered finasteride online before I got a prescription for it). I was...
I've been using finasteride 4 years and did maintain ok with it and then I added dutasteride 0,5mg daily last December and now my hair is thinner than before, not even the crown is responding to the medicine.
Sorry to say but that's pretty advanced already since you don't seem to have any temple points left. I would classify that a NW2 or 2.5. And no, it is not possible to thicken the hair without using the proven treatments (finasteride/dutasteride, minoxidil). Even then it's not guaranteed that your hair will...
For me it hasn't helped the hairline at all. Only grew some vellus hair and in a certain lighting it might seem that I have more hair but when I take a photo and compare it's very clear that the hairline has receded even further because those small hairs don't show in the photos. My crown/vertex...

Is this a joke? Doesn't it seem like every one of the guys have just lost more hair during their Rogaine treatment? Maybe "GREG" has maintained but the others not so much.
